Colourful Grass: Cute Eco Vegan Shoes

I’m pretty kookoo whackadoo over vegan shoes! I love ‘em all—sexy heels, clunky clogs, cowgirl boots, sandals, slippers… if the shoes are cruelty-free and look like they’ll beautifully house my delicate toesies, I WANT!

Intro Colourful Grass eco vegan shoes for women and men. I first heard of this company when they were featured on VeganCuts.com (Groupon-esque coupon site for vegans—WOOT!) I made it a mission to get my hands on a pair STAT. What especially struck me about these shoes is that they’re all uniquely cute (with kind of an indie vibe), cozy-lookin’ and eco-friendly (made with recycled materials).

So my eyes were drawn to the forest green Alice Oak shoesies ($75). They’re hand stitched with hemp canvas & have a recyclable strap styled with a coconut shell button (← ♥ it!). I had a Cinderella moment when I slipped these babies on. Not only did they feel amazing (with nice cushy padding inside), but I could tell I’d be able to rock these with a slew of outfits. Beyond Skin: beyond fabulous vegan shoes

It’s almost 2010! A near year is the perfect excuse for new shoes! It’s time to treat your tosie wosies to some fancy, high quality vegan shoes. I’d like to introduce y’all to Beyond Skin, a UK-based company that manufactures vegan, recycled, sweatshop-free shoes that are so classy they are in a class of their own.

All of their shoes have a retro-y, hip vibe which is a far cry from traditional, vegan hippie shoes that lack character and femininity. I can assure you from personal experience that you will feel like a sexpot wearing these shoes… a classy sexpot.

The only tricky part of rockin’ these shoes is figuring out what your shoe size is. Use the chart I’ve provided as a guide. Their sizes run a teensy bit small so I’d recommend at least going up a half size. That’s usually a good rule of thumb when buying heels, as long as they’re not sling backs.

Beyond Skin shoes cost about $200 and up if you buy direct but you can get them for about half the price with free shipping through the Vegan Beauty Review Store.

Mink Shoes: Unique, vegan, hip & trendy

I’m happy to say there are a lot of vegan, faux and non-leather shoes on this beautiful planet. Whether you’re seeking to buy a $20 pair of hot vegan shoes or a $300 pair, we eco gals definitely have options. Today I want to focus on the latter. If you’re in the market for high quality, upscale, vegan shoes, then I suggest you check out Mink Shoes. They are 100% vegan and they come in the coolest, most unique styles. Each shoe is adorably named after a different animal. You can have your very own shoe farm!
While perusing the Mink Shoes website you might notice the Monkey, Hog, Armadillo or Coyote shoes beckoning you for your next purchase. Being a Texas gal and all I’d buy the Armadillo and the Coyote shoes just for their namesake. (*note* – That’s if I had gobs of money to spend, of course… which I don’t!)
