I’m super duper excited—Spork Online has officially launched! I’ve personally had the pleasure of sitting in on a Spork Foods cooking class, and I was seriously blown away by how awesome it was. First of all, lemme just say that my culinary expertise spans as far as toast and cereal. Spork sisters (and vegan cuisine wizards) Heather and Jenny (who btw are two of the cutest and most charming chickies in the galaxy) broke barriers with my kitchen intimidation.

In the class I attended, we learned how to make pesto pasta, bruschetta and biscotti, and get this… it was easy (and wicked delicious)!

If you’re not in the LA-area and can’t attend a class, it’s all gravy baby. May I suggest subscribing to their website, where you can have unlimited access to fun, easy and delicious vegan cooking classes anytime (makes a great gift, too).

Where Do Vegans Get Their Protein?

I’ve decided to take on the vegan/protein myth in the form of a vlog on VBR because a) it’s an annoyingly common question we vegans get asked; b) I’d like you all to explore (and hopefully adopt) a vegan lifestyle (for your health, the animals and the planet); and c) I wanted to show off my Urban Decay Vegan Palette makeup at work (I used the top row of eyeshadows for this video). Gobble Green has plans for as cheap as $500 a month – that’s breakfast (i.e. scrambled vegan eggs and hashed browns, pancakes, sausage and cheese breakfast sandwich), lunch (i.e. vegan macaroni and cheese, pasta salad, chicken nuggets) and dinner (i.e. kung pao chicken, lasagna, vegetable pot pie) for every single day of the month. That’s cheaper than what most people spend eating out a few times a week per month!
