I love how vegan beauty brands are becoming more and more popular. Hopefully vegan brands will eventually become the new “conventional.” I have always been a big fan of Juice Beauty. If you haven’t heard of this brand yet, head on over to a Whole Foods and check them out. Although all of their products aren’t vegan (some contain beeswax and honey), they are all organic, cruelty-free, paraben-free and contain alpha lipoic acid, coenzyme Q10, DMAE, peptides, fat soluble Vitamin C and essential fatty acids – all key ingredients for age defying beauty. My vegan favs:

Hydrating Mist ($22): This misty blend of organic, antioxidant-rich white and red grape juices, soothing aloe vera, nutrient-rich rosehip, grapeseed oil and vitamins help hydrate and balance your skin’s natural moisture levels. It’s a perfect refreshing pick-me-up. Just spritz a little on freshly cleanse skin and follow up with your daily moisturizer.

Blemish Clearing Serum ($29): If you have oily, blemish-prone or combination skin, I highly recommend you try this product. This powerful hydroxy-acid complex of certified organic apple, lemon and raw cane sugar blended with vitamin antioxidants and coenzyme Q10 help clear blemishes and even out skin tone and texture. You can apply this all over your face to prevent future breakouts or use it as a spot treatment. Next time one of those dreaded lil’ pimples rears is ugly head, zap it was a dab of this serum and help it go away naturally. Most conventional blemish creams are harsh on the skin, contain nasty chemicals and wind up drying out your skin completely. Who wants that? Not I said the Vegan Beauty Junkie.

Antioxidant Serum ($45): This antioxidant serum is packed with powerful age-defying DMAE, vitamin antioxidants, alpha lipoic acid, coenzyme Q10, peptides and essential nutrients that help fight wrinkles and even out your skin tone. I’ve been using anti-wrinkle creams and serums since high school so I’ve tried just about every brand you can think of. This serum is light and non-greasy (it’s more gel-like) and I just like the way t feels on my face. I’ve been using it twice a day (morning and night) and I have zero complaints. I do like to switch up my beauty products from time to time so that my skin never adapts to a particular routine. For the time being, my skin is pretty frickin’ happy.
