All right, Lushies, get ready to swoon over the latest and greatest vegan LUSH goodies. Yahooooooey! Since ChristmaHanukkahHanzFranz&Kwanzaaka is just a hop, skip, jump and booty slap away, there’s no time like the present to hook yourself up with some supa-fab beautifyin’ gifts to make you look über hawt!

My faves:

No Drought Dry Shampoo, $12.95: The older I get, the more I realize I can can get away without washing my hair for longer periods of time (shhhh, that’s privileged information). Sers, between waking up at the butt-crack of dawn for work, sleepy nap times, slavin’ away at the gym, and straight up laze-itude, washing my hair is often not a priority (unless it’s crazy stank-nasty and so greasy you could fry tofu on it). Enter my beloved dry shampoo. I have been waiting eons and a satchel of dried flower petals for LUSH to come out with a dry shampoo, and they finally have! The key ingredients in No Drought—corn flour and talc—absorb excess oil and leave hair soft and clean-lookin’. The zesty fruity scent of lemon, grapefruit and lime leaves hair smelling to die for, too. LOVE.

Latte Lip Tint, $6.95: I’m a lip tint-y kind of chick. I’m all about subtle, soft (and tasty) lip color, so I can go all crazy wild with my eyes (without lookin’ like a clown). This Latte shade has a soft golden (slightly sparkly) coffee hue, and it smells like powdered coffee, sugar icing and vanilla. YUM—try not to eat it! It’s also packed with jojoba and Japan wax for mega moisture for super soft smoochable smackers! xx

Lustre Dusting Powder, $14.95: Being a former glitter addict, I now reach for pretty-smelling shimmery fairy dust aka body powder when I wanna be a sparkling princess. Lustre provides a subtle, golden bronzed glow with all the jasmine-y sexiness of LUSH’s Lust perfume (one of my fave scents, for realio). Get your shimmer on and smell and look like the sex goddess that you are!

My Current LUSH Obsessions

LUSH is my BFF. Whenever I need a quick beauty pick-me-up, I head straight to my LUSH stash for some much-needed pamperin’ & TLC. These LUSHtastic goodies are my current faves:

Shimmy Shimmy Sparkle Bar, $6.95: First of all, I’m in ♥ with LUSH’s massage/lotion bars. They are super creamy, beautiful-smelling, low maintenance (aka not messy and super totable), and this particular one is packed with glitter (and loads of it)! When I’m in the mood to be a sparking princess (which is pretty much every day), I rub this vanilla/lavendery scented bar of shimmery magic all ovah and embrace all that is glisteny and girlie in this beautiful world.

Vanillary Perfume, $39.95: I’m a sucker for anything vanilla/sweet/caramel-y/candy-like… if it smells like something I wanna eat for dessert, it mos def deserves to be worn as a perfume. This vanilla scent is soft and sweet and surprisingly long-lasting. I always get compliments whenever I wear this out, and my hubby loves this scent on me, too.

Dirty Toothy Tabs, $3.95 (40 tabs per box): I just got back from a 1 week trip to Europe, and instead of dealing with bulky toothpaste tubes and airport security hullabaloo for toiletries, I opted for a space-saving, convenient, and eco-friendly alternative. These toothpaste tabs are kind of a trip. Basically, you mash one or two of them up with your front teeth and then start brushing… it gets all sudsy like conventional toothpaste, too! These tabs leave your teeth feeling mega clean and fresh!

Cupcake Mask, $7.95 (only available in stores; needs to be refrigerated): Now here’s a beauty product after my own heart. Not only does it have cupcake in its name, but it’s packed with rhassoul clay, cocoa-y goodness (seriously, it smells like a frickin’ brownie), and spearmint & peppermint essential oils! It’s also great for oily and acne-prone skin—yay! Now you might be thinking, “Why would I rub chocolate on my face to prevent zits?”… it doesn’t contain chocolate per se—just cocoa powder (which is packed with flavonoids and antioxidants), so no fattiness or oils that are found in straight-up chocolate. This is probably my all-time favorite LUSH indulgence. This mask leaves my skin feeling deliciously smooth every single time. I can feel it soak up all the excess oil and gunk from my pores. I ♥♥♥ it!

All right Lushies, prepare yourselves for one of the most amazing dry skin remedies for your hands… complete with argan oil (my beauty bestie), marigold petals and some shea buttery love.

LUSH’s new Tiny Hands Solid Serum ($5.95) is not only vegan, intensely moisturizing, beautiful smelling, conveniently totable (perfect for traveling – just plop it in a LUSH tin), but it comes in the shape of a wittle chubby hand. ← Gotta love that shit! It’s quirky, it’s cool, it’s handy.

If you’re like, “Huh, what is it, I don’t get it.” It’s basically a dense, solid lotion bar whose main goal is to make your fangercicles look H-O-T (aka soft, smooth, young, anti-crispy).

This shit is the shit! I give it 2 thumbs (and a whole hand’s worth of fingers) up! xx

My Current Beauty Regimen

Ooo child, it’s been many moons since I dished about my ever-changin’ beauty regimen, so here goes… Enjoy!

Face:

Earth Science Chamomile & Green Tea makeup remover – This is an oil-free formula that is gentle and gets every itty bitty teensy weensie bit of makeup off, including all the bits around my eyes—I’ve been using it for years!
L’uvalla Foaming Facial Cleanser – This organic, super pure facial cleanser which contains billberry, lotus flower and antioxidants like Vitamin C, is gentle, removes makeup and helps fight acne, too.
Infotone Face Mist – This is like the everlasting gobstopper of toners. This is a reusable facial mist that you can refill with purified water for up to a year. It has a special clay ball inside that transforms the water into an anti-aging, refreshing spritz.
Moisturizer: Dermadoctor’s Photodynamic Therapy Laser Lotion – It’s a cruelty-free laser lotion (you heard correctly) set out to fight wrinkles (with SPF for daytime), and I use Pai Macadamia & Rose Cream (rich dry-skin formula for nighttime)

Makeup:

Arbonne makeup primer – I received a sample of this from my FB friend, Maureen, and I fell in love with it (on par with UD’s Primer Potion, but actually vegan)… will have to order more soon!
Everyday Minerals Fair Neutral Matte Powder Foundation – This foundation is light but still provides excellent coverage. I’m obsessed with everything Everyday Minerals—I wish they had a physical store right outside my house… no wait, I’d be broke as a joke—but I’d be lookin’ foin!
LUSH Color Supplements (liquid foundation) – When I’m in the mood to switch it up from powder to liquid foundation, I use LUSH’s “light yellow” base and mix it with a bit of moisturizer. It looks good and provides even coverage but the downside is that it contains parabens. Wompers.
Urban Decay’s Midnight Cowboy Rides Again eyeshadow – This glittery goldie shade is a staple in my makeup box. It perfectly complements my olive-y skin tone, and it sparkles all day long. It’s works for day and night va-va-voominess!
Manic Panic’s Eye Wear Glossy Mascara – This has become my new favorite vegan mascara. It’s thick, it stays put, and it’s bee-free (which is rare for mascaras).
Zosimos Botanicals Apricot Nectar lip balm – I have 5-7 lip balms scattered throughout my house at any given time. This is the one that currently lives on my night stand for last lubes before beddies. It smells like fruity candy and the formula is perfect.

Hair:

Pravana Naturceuticals Karatin Fusion Shampoo & Conditioner – This vegan salon line is exquisite. It’s designed for heat styling, so if your hair’s in need of some TLC, I highly recommend you seek this out. It contains sunscreen and a mega-dose of keratin amino acids and botanical extracts to keep your hair looking silky-smooth and healthy.
Thermafuse Leave-in Conditioner – This works as a detangler and de-frizzifier—hallelujah! I swear up and down by leave-in conditioners, and this one (which is packed with amino acids) makes my hair stronger and adds the perfect amount of shine.

LUSH Presents Gorilla Perfumes!

LUSH has come out with a new line of Gorilla perfumes. There are plenty of vegan scents to choose from (e.g. Ginger, Candy Fluff, Flower Market), and they come in both solid and spray forms. Can’t decide which perfume to order first? Try their Limited Edition Fragrance Kit ($12 for 7 vials) to see which one suits you best.

I’m a HUGE fan of solid perfumes (they are perfect solutions for quelling the stank factor) . I love to keep a couple different scents in my purse at all times. You never have to worry about them spilling or taking up too much space. They are convenient little smelly wonders.

Lately I’ve been toting around The Smell of Freedom solid perfume ($12.95), and I’m diggin’ it. It has a woodsy/spicy/floral scent. I don’t know if any of y’all used to rock Tinkerbell perfume back in the day, but this perfume smells uncannily similar to Tink’s scent. I love the nostalgia factor. Also, the name alone makes this perfume a winner. Every time I whip this out, I like to think about all the animals that deserve to live free and in the wild (not in cages, slaughterhouses, zoos, labs, etc.)

LUSH: Body & Lip Tints (for a Year-Round Glow)

All right, you palies (aka peeps with lily white, bright, reflective skin)! Let’s get some color on them sexy legs of yours.

LUSH (one of my all time fave vegan-friendly skin care companies ever) is here to the rescue. Just because it’s getting chilly outside, it doesn’t mean that you can’t still sport an elegant, sun-kissed glow. What am I talkin’ ’bout?

Black Stockings ($8.95) This shimmery, coppery, shea buttery bar of heart-shaped goodness pretty much stole my heart and wowed my eyeballs. I was sold at shimmery. I need shimmer 24/7/365. Not only do I look like a California hottie boombalottie in the chilly willy weather, but I smell delicious when I wear this (not meaning to toot my own horn… I give 100% credit to this amazing one-of-a-kind product). The best part (and maybe I just have special nasal receptors)—is that this body tint smells like frickin’ lebkucken! If you don’t know what that is, it’s a German holiday baked good that unfortunately that hasn’t been veganized yet (at least not to my knowledge)… so I get to experience my Germany/youth nostalgia via Black Silk Stockings. Thank you, LUSH! xo As an FYI, the description says its scent is Caribbean-inspired… now I know that’s not anywhere near Germany, but regardless, it smells fabu!

Silk Stockings ($9.95): If you’re on the fairer side of the spectrum, this body tint is gonna be perfect for you. It’s a natural pinky shade, and it smells like jasmine (one of my favorite floral scents). I’ve been using these body tints as I would regular massage bars; they’re moisture-rich and make my skin feel wunderbar!

Double Choc Lip Tint ($6.95): I’ve discovered I love rubbing chocolate all over my lips almost as much as I love cramming it down my throat. This lip tint gives a subtle bit of bronze color, it’s creamy and goes on smoothly, and most importantly—it tastes like chocolate! FTW! I’m definitely going to be keeping this in my purse for the next few months (assuming I don’t ~~eat~~ use it up before then).

I have a lush amount of appreciation for all things LUSH. When I’m in the mood to treat myself to to a relaxing, fizztastical, bubbly bath or an intoxicatingly sweet skin care routine, I get my LUSH fix.

These are some of my current vegan faves:

Stepping Stone ($3.95) This pumice and sea salt based foot scrub is the just the thing your tosie wosies have been begging for. It’s packed full of moisturizing cocoa butter, jojoba oil and lemongrass oils and has an awakening, citrusy lemon-lime scent that’s sure to leave your feet smelling fresh and pamperable (now all you need to do is get your sugar booger to give you a nice foot massage).

Glorious Mud ($5.95): Get down and dirty with a mission to deep cleanse your skin! This fizzy block, of what looks like beachy sand or gritty cocoa powder ), is actually an amazing body mask made of Rhassoul clay from the Atlas Mountains. Once it gets wet and fizzy, it becomes perfectly easy to apply all over your body. This power packed mud cube (which grips the gunk from your pores and leaves your skin soft) smells exotic, sort of like licorice, spices and pretty flowers – it’s uniquely beautiful!

Grass Shower Gel ($29.95 for 16.9 fl. oz.): I can’t imaging a more pleasing, welcome-to-a-new-day shower scent. I don’t know how the scentual wizards at LUSH managed to squeeze in springtime and sunshiney goodness into a bottle, but they did it. This shower gel smells like freshly cut grass with soft citrusy undertones. LOVE it!

Even though I’m a lip balm fiend and have my smackers lubed up 24-7, I go through periods of having dry, crusty lips (sexy, no?). Usually during these times, I just pile on the lip balm and layer it on thick, but I’ve discovered a much better solution: Lip scrubs.

I recently tried LUSH’s Mint Julips Lip Scrub ($8.95) and I am such a fan, you have no idea! First of all, the peppermint and vanilla oils (2 of my all time favorite scents) make this scrub smell like Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies. It’s a sugar scrub, too, so that temptation to just eat the content of the lil’ jar is definitely present. This scrub is so easy to use! You just rub a small amount on your lips and rinse it off. Your lips will feel so incredibly smooth, fresh and tingly after scrubbin’ away all those dead skin cells and dry, scraggly bits. I like to finish it off with some tasty-smelling, vegan lip balm (like Crazy Rumors or Hurraw). LUSH has vegan lip balms, too, but I haven’t gotten around to trying them yet (on my to do list).

Mint Julips Lip Scrub, $8.95

Ingredients: Castor sugar, organic jojoba oil, vanilla extract, tagetes oil, peppermint oil, limonene, flavor.

LUSH has some egg-celent Easter goodies for those of you who might want to skip the chocolate this year and indulge in some calorie-free bathtime fun instead. Although not all of LUSH’s bath goodies are vegan, a lot of them are, so look for the designated “V” next to all of their vegan items. Also, in case you didn’t already know, LUSH’s Bath Bombs and Bubble Bars are preservative-free and have no egg-cess packaging.

These Hippy Chick Bath Bombs ($4.95 each) are grapefruit-scented (yum) and they are beyond adorbs! Not only do they smell refreshing and tasty, but they are sure to make all you chickadees look forward to your next relaxing bath. If you’re lovin’ the scent of this bath bomb, you might want to pair it with their similarly fragranced Happy Hippy Shower Gel.

Also, LUSH will be having an Easter Event at every shop nationwide all day Saturday (April 3rd) where you can finish up all of your last minute basket filling. If you spend $40 or more, you’ll receive an Easter product for free!
