e.l.f. Modern Metals Eyeshadow Palette Review

I always get a bit tingly when a new shadow palette shows up in the mail. One of the most recent ones I received is the e.l.f. Modern Metals palette, $12. This beaut is inspired by New Orleans and includes 10 bold and neutral, metallic and matte shades, all thoughtfully curated by a team of beauty influencers.

I have to be honest, this combo of shades was a tad intimidating when I first laid eyes on it. I usually play it safe with my standby soft pinks, purples and plums. I legit saw that yellow and was like, “Where does that go?” I still haven’t rocked that bold mustard shade yet (but I really want to). I did, however, use the shade smack dab in the middle (sorry, they don’t have names!) on my lids, the purple in my crease, the gold in the center of my lid, and the shimmery off-white under my brow and in the inner corners of my eyes.

I was surprised at how smooth, pigmented and blendable these shades are. Some e.l.f. shadow palettes have let me down in that department in the past. These are so easy and pretty to use.

Bottom line: I would def recommend the e.l.f. Modern Metals palette. You can’t beat that price, and the quality is actually really impressive. Will I ever use that yellow shade? Haha, probably not, especially with my olive skin tone, but imma rock the heck out of those other shades.

Have you tried this shadow palette yet? Which shades are your fave? Also, what’s your current go-to cruelty-free palette? xx

Perfect with my tanned skin too, I used to use it and set everything with another vegan cosmetic from Virginic.. i think it was called translucent face powder or something. i think you will enjoy it, let me know how it sets yours! or maybe its just my oily skin lol
