Vegan Cuts Makeup Box Review – Spring 2017

May 23, 2017By 0 Comments

As you guys know, Vegan Cuts now has a quarterly MAKEUP BOX, and it’s all kinds of wonderful!! It delivers 4+ full-size vegan & cruelty-free cosmetics to match each season. From lipstick to mascara to luxe nail lacquer, they’ve got all your needs covered and will customize your box based on your beauty profile. The box is $39.95 per quarter (with free US shipping).

Their Spring 2017 Makeup Box included 5 items total, valued at $104!

The theme for this season’s box was “Spring Paradise,” and as always, it was accompanied by this adorable “vegan beauty” sticker!

Let’s dive in!

Jersey Shore Cosmetics My Lash Secret Eyelash Curler, $25 – Lol, this came at a good time… I seriously haven’t used an eyelash curler in over a year because I can’t seem to find mine anywhere (I know, why didn’t I just buy a new one?). So, yay, for the rebirth of curly lashes, Sunbun! I like the black sleekness of this one, and I adore the brand Jersey Shore Cosmetics… I had no idea they even made a lash curler. I will rock this proudly. Hopefully, this will step up my selfie game. 😉 Oh, and it’s not pictured, but this came with a replacement pad, too.

BWC Full Volume Mascara, $26 – It ain’t my first rodeo with this bad boy. BWC makes all kind of lovely vegan makeup, and this mascara is a great for an everyday defined look. Love that this box included a curler and mascara. #winning The formula is nice – it’s doesn’t clump and it applies smoothly. I just wish it were waterproof… but I know that’s a bit tricky, as we vegans don’t have a ton of waterproof options for liners and mascaras. Side note – cute packaging, right?

Manna Kadar Radiance Split Pan Bronzer & Highlighter Duo, $21 – I think I received this duo in a previous beauty box, but I can’t remember which one it was. I always love the concept of duos and palettes because I like keeping things simple and organized (even though I personally suck at it, ha!). I swatched the highlighter and bronzer on my fingers. While I love the bright shimmer of the highlighter, I do prefer matte bronzers (this one’s hella shimmery), so I might use this as an eyeshadow instead.

Elate Cosmetics Moisturizing Lip Gloss in Radiate, $19 – This pretty pearly pink is the perfect bridge between lipstick and sheer gloss, and it’s formulated with refreshing peppermint essential oil which gives your lips a lil’ tingle. It’s a moisturizing, smooth formula, and this shade is universally flattering. I dig.

HAN Skin Care Cosmetics Romance Eyeshadow, $13 – This all-natural shimmery rose gold shadow is gorgeous. It has a lovely satin finish and it’s nicely pigmented, too. I could see myself rockin’ this on a daily basis. Shade is swatched below on my finger.

Verdict: Wow, so much value in their spring makeup box – $104! That’s a steal for 5 full-size items, right? Faves in this quarter’s box include the HAN rose gold shadow, Elate lip gloss, and BWC mascara. I like how this box contained mostly all-natural, green beauty products – I feel like Vegan Cuts keeps veering more and more in that direction which I think is fantastic! If you’re a lover of vegan and cruelty-free makeup, I highly recommend giving this goodie box a whirl – so many fun snd new discoveries for not a lot of $.
