Healing Natural Oils for Face, Body & Hair Review

Whenever I get asked what my #1 beauty tip is, I always recommend that people start using beauty oils from head to toe every single day. As a big proponent of DIY beauty, I’m constantly incorporating oils into my a.m. and p.m. routines. A few examples: I remove my makeup with jojoba oil; I cleanse my skin with a mix of jojoba, sweet almond, and castor oil; I use rosehip seed oil on my face at bedtime to fight wrinkles, and I use coconut oil on my cuticles.

Each beauty oil boasts different properties and benefits, so when you play around with them, you can find some pretty stellar combos that can transform your skin (and hair).

I’m grateful that there are beauty brands that do all the work for us. 😉 I recently discovered Healing Natural Oils (Amoils.com) and had the opportunity to try their hair, face, and body oils. I adore that they are vegan, cruelty-free, environmentally friendly (glass bottles all the way), and USA-made.

Simply Cleansing Oil

I’ve been oil cleansing for years because I found conventional cleansers too harsh and drying. This blend is rich in vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidants and features argan oil, jojoba oil, grape seed oil and lavender essential oil (← needless to say, it smells beautiful). If you’re new to oil cleansing, it might seem counterintuitive to wash the gunk and oils off your face with oils, but like attracts like, and it doesn’t clog pores. In fact, specific oil blends actually fight acne and excess sebum production. I have found oil cleansers to be truly game-changing. This item retails for $19.95 for 1.12 fl. oz., btw.

Ingredients: Prunus dulcis (Sweet Almond) kernel oil, Sesamum indicum (Sesame) seed oil, Simmondsia chinensis (Jojoba) seed oil, Argania spinosa (Argan) kernel oil, Vitis vinfera (Grape) seed oil, Rosmarinus officinalis (Rosemary) leaf oil, Lavandula officinalis (Lavender) flower oil

Simply Body Oil

First of all, this body oil smells GORG! It’s made with pomegranate oil, sweet almond oil, and ylang ylang and sandalwood essential oils – a beautiful and exotic combo. It’s rich in antioxidants and vitamins A, K, D, E, and it’s mega moisturizing. What I love most about this oils is that it’s non-greasy and quick-absorbing. Btw, it’s recommended that you apply this to your skin while it’s still damp for maximum absorption. This item retails for $26.95 for 1.12 fl. oz.

Ingredients: Prunus dulcis (Sweet Almond) kernel oil, Sesamum indium (sesame) seed oil, Simmondsia chinensis (Jojoba) seed oil, Punica granatum (Pomegranate) seed oil, Cupressus sempivirens (Cypress) leaf oil, Cymbopogon martinii (Palmarosa) herb oil, Cananga odorata (Ylang ylang) flower oil, Daucus carota (carrot) seed oil, Santalum album (Sandalwood) oil.

Simply Hair Oil

While I don’t use hair oils on a regular basis, I do use them to help fight the frizz, especially when styling after a blowout. This hair oil features Morrocan argan oil which helps makes hair softer, silkier and shinier. If you don’t have an issue with frizzies (massive envy, btw), you can us this before shampooing for extra conditioning. Just apply a small amount to the palm of your hand and work through your hair with your fingers. Btw, I featured Linky in this pic because she’s all kinds of hair goals. 😉 This product retails for $27.95 for 1.12 fl. oz.

Ingredients: Corylus avellana (Hazel) seed oil, Sesamum indicum (Sesame) seed oil, Argania Spinosa (Argan) kernel oil, Salvia hispanica (Chia) seed oil, Rosemarinus officinalis (Rosemary) leaf oil, Cupressus sempervirens (Cypress) leaf oil, Pelargonium graveolens (Geranium) oil, Cananga odorata (Ylang ylang) flower oil

Overall, I really like this brand. I do wish the bottles were bigger (had more product in them), but props for the effective and beautiful-smelling formulas and glass packaging.

Heads up: Code vegan10 saves you 10% off you entire order! Enjoy!

Do you use beauty oils on a daily basis? Which ones are your favs? xo
