Goddess Provisions Subscription Box Review – May 2017

May 17, 2017By 0 Comments

It’s Goddess Provisions unboxing day! If you’re new to GP, it’s a vegan subscription box founded by the peeps from Vegan Cuts, and it’s probably one of my favorite subby boxes EVAH. I especially love that it’s curated “to have beautiful tools for nourishing your divine feminine and growing your spiritual practice”… totally up my alley.

Goddess Provisions delivers a mix of 4-7 full size items in each box, ranging from aromatherapy, apothecary beauty products, superfood snacks, teas, crystals, books and more – vegan & cruelty-free, of course. You can check out all of my previous Goddess Provisions box reviews here.

Cost: $33 per month. You can save a little extra each month if you sign up to be billed every 3, 6 or 12 months instead of monthly. Peep their site to see all the payment options available. Shipping to U.S. is FREE. Canadian shipping is $10 and rest of world is $20.

May’s GP Box theme is “Moon Goddess,” which is perfect because lately I’ve been havin’ mad love for all things lunar.

May’s “Moon Goddess” Goddess Provisions box includes:

Kate’s Magik Moon Goddess Oil, $15 – This reiki-charged adaptogenic (helps regulate hormones and manage stress) blend features dawn-blooming jasmine and it smells so frickin’ beautiful! I’m definitely going to use this as a perfume as the scent is pretty strong (at least when you first apply it). I thought it was going to have a dropper top like most essential oils do, so I accidentally spilled quite a bit of this when I first applied it to my wrist. It’s free flowing, and I literally just dumped the bottle upside down thinking it would come out a drop at a time… whoops, so heads up.

Element Botanicals New Moon Spray, $7.50 – This aromatherapy spray has an uplifting blend of citrus, vanilla, black pepper, chamomile, and rose. You’re supposed to use this “to invoke and connect with the rejuvenating energies of the new moon.” I’ll most likely be using this as a general room mist because it has such a cheery scent, and it makes me smile.

Fat and the Moon Bod Powder, $14 – First off, lovin’ the name and super cute packaging. I make DIY body powder all the time, so I definitely appreciate products likes these. It’s a great way to stay fresh and pretty smelling, and the simple ingredients are ace: arrowroot powder, kaolin clay, clary sage and grapefruit essential oils. You can use this bod powder anywhere you’re prone to sweating, including “all nether zones.” Lol, love it!

Golden Moon Organic Rooibos Tea, $3 – I’ve been a longtime fan of rooibos because it’s a great caffeine-free option, it’s loaded with antioxidants, and it has a naturally sweet flavor. I have a massively gigundo, industrial size bag rooibos that I need to get through before opening this new one, but I’m looking forward to trying it out at some point. Props for it being organic and non-gmo.

Chakra Love Moon Necklace, $44 – Aw, excited to see a jewelry piece from my homegirl Jeri/Chakra Love. It’s a handmade bronze crescent moon talisman on a doubled vegan leather cord. I’m feelin’ the earthy boho vibe and it’s a versatile piece that’ll go with practically any outfit. I like the little quote on the card, too. 🙂

Sacred Wood Essence Palo Santo, $4 – I can never wrap my head around how insanely aromatic and beautiful certain woods can smell. Caedarwood, sandalwood, and palo santo (pictured below) are some of my favs. Palo Santo is commonly used for smudging (cleansing the energy around you), and this is the first time I’ve seen a stick of it with moon phases etched on it – definitely adds a nice touch.

Sacred Wood Essence Palo Santo

Moonstone with Black Tourmaline, $4 – This pretty little stone has so much character, and I had no idea that moonstone and tourmaline could be formed in the same hunk of rock. This stone is supposed to help harness the energy of the new moon and help balance masculine and feminine energy. GP suggests resting it near your crown chakra to connect with the natural rhythms of life and inner wisdom.

Overall impression: This month’s Goddess Provisions box is perfectly curated! GP always kills it, and literally EVERY single item is a hit. The total value of this box is $92 and faves include the handmade moon necklace, jasmine goddess oil, bod powder, and palo santo. SO much good stuff this month!
