March’s beauty box had a mix of six beauty products with a total value of $65!

March’s Vegan Cuts Beauty Box included:

Plantlife Detox Therapeutic Mineral Bath, $5.95 – I’m a bath gal, like, almost exclusively, and I enjoy a nice, relaxing soak. I usually DIY my bath salts, but it’s such a treat to get them in the mail, too. Plantlife’s bath salts are “imported from the water off the Northern Coast of France and it’s hand harvested and sun dried in the 2000 year old Celtic tradition thus retaining over 84 vital trace minerals” – daaaaannnng, right?! The ingredients are super clean and they include pure essential oils, epsom salt, and organic calendula and chamomile floral extracts.

Hempz Fresh Coconut & Watermelon Body Moisturizer, $7.30 – I recently saw this brand of lotion in the bathroom of a hot yoga place I go to, so I was immediately interested in trying it out… because if it’s a thing with the new-age-y, yogi, hippie folk (aspiring to be all those things btw), then it’s gotta be good, right? The scent sounded intriguing, too – fresh coconut & watermelon. While it smells ridiculously good (fruity and refreshing), some of the ingredients kind of made me not so crazy about it. It contains PEG-100, EDTA, and some other ingredients I can’t pronounce (I’m not a total ingredient snob, but a big part of me is). I really, really like the scent though.

Modicum Essential Cleanser & Modicum Essential Exfoliant, $32 – Whoa, this lil’ duo is worth the entire box and then some! This gentle, light-foaming cleanser is made with a bunch of all-natural and organic power players in the skincare world: argan oil, rosehip fruit oil, camellia seed oil, avocado oil, pumpkin seed oil, and plant-derived squalane, to name a few. When you mix it with their simple, two-ingredient exfoliant (MSM and aloe vera), it gently exfoliates without stripping the skin of its natural oils. It’s super easy to wash off, too. Usually exfoliants take a million years to clean off and I usually find little gritty bits caked on my face throughout the day (hawt, lol). Anyhoo, this one was different. I honestly don’t know if I’d ever pay $32 for this cleaning duo (the bottles are definitely on the small side), but having received this at no cost (#hashtagblessed), I can honestly say I like it.

Londontown Lakur in “Brill-Ant”,* $16 – *gasp* This shade is BEAUTIFUL. It’s a metalic rose, and it’s begging to be featured in next week’s Mani Monday (whatcha think?). Not only is it vegan and cruelty-free, but it’s 9-free, too (sans a lot of the toxins found in most conventional nail polishes).

Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Shea Butter Lip Balm,* $3.99 – I adore this all-natural beauty brand and I especially like how accessible they are (Target!). Their oil cleanser is one of my favorite beauty products ever! I hadn’t tried any of their cosmetics, though, and I’m glad this popped up in VC’s BB. It’s moisturizing and contains certified organic ingredients like shea butter, coconut oil, and hibiscus flower. It is a tad gritty, but it smooths out once you rub your lips together a few times.

*faves from this month’s box

Overall impression: Everything together is valued at $65, which is pretty awesome! Box faves: Londontown’s metallic rose polish and Shea Moisture’s shea butter lip balm! Overall, March’s VCBB box was a hit!
