buddhibox-december-2016

It’s BuddhiBox unboxing day! This is one of my all-time fave monthly subby boxes, and December’s goodie haul was OMG! New to BB? It’s catered to peeps who enjoy yoga, healthy living, and mindfulness. This subscription box is set up so that each month you’ll receive 4-6 thoughtfully curated products (samples and full sized items) from ethically-sourced and socially conscious companies. BuddhiBox also chooses a charity to donate proceeds to each month.

There are different subscription options that vary in price and get cheaper with duration, but the low commitment month-to-month option is $32.95/month. Btw, you can peep my past BuddhiBox reviews here.

This month’s goodie box, which I’ll delve into in just a bit, also came with a BuddhiBox info card with a spot-on quote from Mark Twain on the back, a recipe for Earl Grey Maple Hot Chocolate (yum), and an instructional Yogicard card for the pose Halasan a.k.a. Plow Pose – love saving these cute lil’ extras!

December’s BuddhiBox included:

Orglamix Lip and Cheek Tint in Glisten, $18 – This formula glides on the lips like buttah, and you can tell it’s mega moisturizing. The tint is subtle but the sparkle is absolutely stunning! There was a tiny bit of oil separation on top, but that’s no big. Peep its squeaky clean ingredients: Coconut Oil, Sericite, Boron, Silica Microspheres, Rice Powder, Magnesium Myristate, Candellila Wax, Sweet Almond Oil, Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Mica (CI 77019), Avocado Oil, and Cucumber Oil.

Peppermint Tea by Tea Pigs, $10 – I have acquired so many different teas through these types of subby boxes, and I love it. Tea is LIFE, yo’! I’m also bigtime into all things peppermint, and peppermint tea is what I turn to most, especially when I’m in the mood for something caffeine-free (pairs niceley with chocolate, too, imho). I like how these tea bags are biodegradable and made in the USA.

Gratitude Candle by Pure Candle Company, $19 – You guys, it’s kind of hard to find candles that use only essential oils. I get it, it’s pricy to rock EOs over fragrance blends, but dang, when I do find these all-natural candles that have essences of pure earthly goodness, my heart def skips a few beats. This candle has a comforting blend of white spruce, rosewood, and cedarwood. It smells f’ing fantastic!

Buddhibox Sparkling Mala, $30 – Squeeeeeee!!! I’m obsessed with mala jewelry, obsessed, y’all!! When I opened Buddhibox and saw this sparkly beauty, I gasped and immediately put it on. It’s so beautiful and elegant and that deep foresty green is everything.

Amazing Grass Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Bar, $3 – Mmmm, super food bars slathered in chocolate… Even though I’m trying to chill on sugary treats, this was justified by the presence of barley grass, alfalfa, spirulina, chlorella, flaxseed, maca, rose hips, carrot, pineapple, etc. Shoot, it’s almost like I’ll live forever if I eat these every day. 😉

Skin Yoga Coffee Scrubs, $12 – This was a bonus item. I had actually received the product in a previous BB, but I’m stoked for the repeat surprise. The packaging is super quirky and cool, and the coffee scrub smells delicious and leaves my skin feelin’ FOIN.

Bear’s Beauty Sugar Lips Peppermint Scrub, $15 – My lips are dry af and have been all winter. I’ve been DIYing scrubs all season long, but it’s nice to receive one by surprise, too. I really like the the scrubby granules (sugar) are super fine. It’s a much nicer feeling on the lips that big ol’ chunks of sugar, trust me. It’s made with organic coconut oil, hemp seed oil, shea butter, non-GMO vitamin E and essential oils. Good stuff.

Overall impression: As always, this box has insane value – $105+ worth of goodies, WOW! This box was a bigtime winner, and I’m especially excited about the mala necklace, essential oil candle, and peppermint tea!

I highly recommend giving BuddhiBox a try – quality mindful products, amazing value. It would make a great gift for a friend, loved one, or yourself! They also have a fantastic online shop if there’s a specific item you’ve got your eye on.

What do you guys think of BuddhiBox?

Box was sent to me for consideration. Opinions are my own.
