buddhibox-august-2016

It’s BuddhiBox unboxing day! This is one of my all-time fave monthly subby boxes, and this month’s goodie haul is spectacular as always! New to BB? It’s catered to peeps who enjoy yoga, healthy living, and mindfulness. This subscription box is set up so that each month you’ll receive 4-6 thoughtfully curated products (samples and full sized items) from ethically-sourced and socially conscious companies. BuddhiBox also chooses a charity to donate proceeds to each month.

There are different subscription options that vary in price and get cheaper with duration, but the low commitment month-to-month option is $32.95/month. Btw, you can peep my past BuddhiBox reviews here.

This month’s goodie box, which I’ll delve into in just a bit, also came with a BuddhiBox info card with a lovely Audrey Hepburn quote on the back, a recipe for Hibiscus Mango Fruit Popsicles, and an instructional Yogicard card for the pose Maksikanagasana a.k.a. Drogonfly/Grasshopper Pose – hope to one day master this one!

August’s BuddhiBox included:

Karma Mantra Buddha Lava Bracelet,* $24 – I love receiving yoga jewelry in subby boxes, probably more than anything else. This particular piece is gorgeous and it features howlite and lava stones. This bracelet is supposed to aid in calming emotions and energize the root chakra. The info card doesn’t say this, but I know you can dab a bit of essential oil on lava beads to use this jewelry as an EO diffuser.

Boyd’s Farm Refreshing Facial Mist,* $10 – This Sweet Lime mist is super refreshing. I’m not too sure about the exact essential oil blend, but the lime-y citrus-y scent is cheerful and uplifting. I love how it contains jojoba oil, sweet almond oil, argan oil and vitamin e oil (in addition to water and essential oils) – sounds like a nourishing blend of ingredients.

Auromere Ayurveda Himalayan Rose Soap, $3 – Auromere and I go way back. They’re one of the first vegan beauty brands I ever reviewed on VBR. Their entire line is based on Ayurveda, and this soap, which smells heavenly, is made with Indian and Damascus roses combined with 15 complementary Ayurvedic herbs, oils, and extracts.

There were a couple Auromere samples in the mix, too. I haven’t tried out the shampoo or conditioner yet because I like to hang on to these minis for when I travel.

Orglamix Lip Scrub (Peach Sangria),* $15 – OMFG… the scent of this is INSANE. I want to eat it sooooooo badly, I can’t even tell you (even though I just told you). This has got to be in my top 7 favorite scents of all friggin’ time. Dang, I SO wish I could make this page scratch-n-sniff so you guys can freak out over it with me. Hey, Orglamix, will you please make this scent into a perfume? Please and thank you.

Tiger Balm Pain Relieving Patch, $2 – Imma save this for my hubs who sometimes has bouts of back pain. I’ve never seen these patches before but I bet they’re pain relieving and tingly AF (word up, camphor and menthol).

Soulful Essence Yoga Bliss,* $23 – I received this item in a different subby box (or perhaps it was a previous BB box)… too lazy to check, lol. Anyhoo, this is a bonus item, and what a wonderful lil’ bonus it is! I’ve been using aromatherapy roll-ons daily! They really do help establish a sense of calm and balance. This particular blend features lemongrass and frankincense, and it smells SO good.

Zico Chocolate Flavored Coconut Water, $1 – I’m not totally jumping up and down at the thought of chocolate flavored coconut water, only because I love it in its original form – it’s perfection. When I checked out the ingredients and saw that it contains cane sugar and coconut cream, I was like, “Hold up. Is this like a healthy chocolate milk!?”). I’m currently sugar cleansing, so Imma hold off on chugging this ish until it’s a cheat day. I’m definitely intrigued, tho’.

Overall impression: As always, this box has insane value – $78 worth of goodies, woweeeee!! This box was a bigtime winner, and I’m especially excited about the yoga bracelet, lime facial mist, yummy lip scrub, and roll-on essential oil blend!

I highly recommend giving BuddhiBox a try – quality mindful products, amazing value. It would make a great gift for a friend, loved one, or yourself! They also have a fantastic online shop if there’s a specific item you’ve got your eye on.

What do you guys think of BuddhiBox?

Box was sent to me for consideration. Opinions are my own.
