POPSUGAR Must Have Box July 2016 Review
After reviewing last month’s super duper fun and vegan-friendly POPSUGAR Must Have Box, I was beyond curious to see what this month’s box had in store. Btw, if you’re new to the POPSUGAR’s subby box, it’s a monthly goodie box that has a mix of beauty, home-y stuff, accessories, jewelry, snacks, etc. – all trendy, pop culture-y stuff, too!
July’s PS Must Have box was all about summa – woot (but can it please be fall, already? 😉 )! Last month’s box was 100% vegan, and I had my fingers crossed that this month’s box would follow suit, but unfortunately 2 of the 8 items contained animals ingredients and I’ve listed those last ↓ (and noted them as non-vegan).
OK, let’s dive into this bad boy!
Michael Stars Porcelain Skinny Scarf in White, $30 – This super skinny scarf has an elegant black & white boho design and you can wrap it, knot it, drape it, use it as a headband, etc. It’s super cute, and I like the unique skinny size.
Pintrill Pineapple Pin, $12 – OK, this is adorable and quirky! Brooklyn represent! Still figuring out where to flaunt it… thinking maybe a tote? Whatchall think?
House of Pom Emoji Cocktail Napkins, $25 – These cocktail napkins are a POPSUGAR exclusive, and they’re perfect for emoji aficionados like myself. I’m a teensy bit bummed there wasn’t a poop emoji napkin, but I think I’ll survive.
Sunnylife Inflatable Swan Drink Holder, $18 – First, props to the brand name. I’m livin’ the Sunny Life 24/7, so naturally I approve. Diggity ding, I don’t have a pool (yet… putting it out there, universe), but when I do, Imma fill every cup slot with homemade flavored kombucha.
Joe Chips Classic Sea Salt Retro Chips, $1.50 – I’m lovin’ the old time-y packaging! I’ve been eating super cleanly lately (no sugar, no fried foods… I know, I know…), so needless to say, I didn’t dig into these even though the gluttonous, salty chip lovin’ side of mahself was begging to.
Sachajuan Hair in the Sun, $32 – This item in not vegan, so I did not test it out. I’ll be donating this product to someone in need.
European Wax Center Oh My Brow! Brow Highlighter in Pearl, $19 – This product contains beeswax, so it’s not vegan as well. Bummer, too, because it looks like a dope highlighter.
Also included was a $20 gift card for Trove Jewelry where most items run ~65+.
Verdict: All the goodies combined were worth $137 (box costs $39.95 per month, shipping included). I especially love the skinny print scarf, pineapple pin, and emoji napkins. Two of the 8 items weren’t vegan, which I’ll be gifting/donating, but all the other items were pretty fantastic.
I’m thinking we should start badgering POPSUGAR to come out with ah exclusive vegan & cruelty-free goodie box? Who’s with me? 🙂
