Thrive Causemetics Triple Threat Color Stick Review

Thrive Trip Threat Stick

When I first heard about monochromatic makeup, the busy mommy in me was like, “Oh, hellz to the yeah!” Most days, I barely have time to do basic stuff like shovel grub down my pie hole and bathe my stanky bits (H-A-W-T). Seriously, life hacks, time savers, multitaskers, this is what I’m all about lately.

Enter Thrive Causemetics newest beauty innovation – their Triple Threat Color Stick ($36), which is a convenient “glow on the go” color for eyes, cheeks, and lips. It’s infused with age-defying vitamin C and evening primrose to hydrate the skin and help fight wrinkles. It even comes with a cute lil’ brush on one end for blendification.

Available shades: Dionne (brick), Olivia (coral), Maggie (rose), and Joy (highlighter – rose gold).

I received a sample of Maggie, and in the process of using this single product for basically my entire face, I also partook in their #IMATRIPLETHREAT campaign to help inspire other women to own their awesome (↓ see below). 🙂

This is what the shade Maggie looks like on my eye lids, cheeks, and lips:

I like how the pink is kind of subtle and natural looking, which I wouldn’t have suspected based on the swatch on my arm.

How cute is this lil’ blendy brush?

The Triple Threat Color Stick is vegan, cruelty-free, sulfate-free, paraben-free, and “all-natural” although I personally can’t decipher some of these ingredients (any insight is welcome):

Cyclopentasiloxane, Cyclohexasiloxane, Polyethylene, Silica, Neopentyl Glycol Diethylhexanoate, Stearyl Dimethicone, C30-45 Alkyl Methicone, Dimethicone, Ceresin, Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate , Polyglyceryl-2 Triisostearate, Polymethyl Methacrylate, C30-45 Olefin, Ozokerite, Sorbitan Sesquioleate, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Glyceryl Caprylate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Methicone, Propylene Carbonate, Caprylyl Glycol, Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Oil, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Pentaerythrityl Tetra-Di-T-Butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate, Hexylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Red 7

Overall, this is a pretty cool beauty essential. I feel like it would be great for traveling or throwing in the gym bag. It’s definitely a time saver and the end result is quite pretty. 🙂
