Happy Petit Vour Unboxing Day! You can peep all my previous PV box reviews here. This goodie box is only $15 a month (HELLA good deal, especially considering this month’s box is valued at $45) and includes free shipping in the U.S. ($23 for Canada).Petit Vout beauty box April 2016

You’ll also be able to earn points in their shop (product links within this post) with every purchase, review, and friend rec. Compassionate and affordable—pretty sweet, right?

April’s Petit Vour Vegan Beauty Box included:

Kumari River Bath & Body Oil,* $8.50 – You know me, I’m all about slathering beauty oils all over mah bod from head to toe. This gorgeous, luxe blend of chamomile, lavender, peppermint, rosemary, lemon, geranium, frankincense smells super spa-sy. It has a soothing, cooling scent and feel, and it leaves skin hella soft thanks to its base of organic grape seed, sesame, and olive oils. The second I sampled this on my hand, I knew it was going to be a box fave!

Ursa Major Fortifying Face Balm, $9.50 – When I hear/see the word “balm,” I usually imagine a salve-type concoction, so this threw me off a bit. It’s a lightweight, antiaging moisturizer that’s supposed to be calming and antiseptic. I’ve tried a few Ursa Major products in the past and have always been impressed, but my skin totally had a reaction to this product, which is super rare for me. My skin turned bright right after applying. This product isn’t quite for me, but perhaps my skin is just getting more sensitive with age. Did anyone else have a reaction? I will say, it has a has a really lovely, earthy scent – it’s infused with lavender, lime, spearmint and rosemary.

100% Pure Fruit Pigmented Pot Rouge in Baby Pink,* $25 (covers the cost of this box plus some!) – 100% Pure is my bae. They can do no wrong. All the products I’ve ever tried from them have blown me away. Their ingredients are super clean and true to their name, and they use fruit and veggie pigments for in all of their makeup, y’all! I love it! This satin silky rouge gives a really natural flush of color, and it lasts all day, too. It’s extremely blendable and easy to apply. My only gripe with 100% Pure is their use of excess (albeit gorgeous) packaging. If they kept things simple, they’d be able to lower their price point and help mama earth, too.

Juara Hand & Nail Balm, $2.50 – This stuff smells SO friggin’ good! So far, everything in April’s PV Box smells divine! It’s got a tropical, coconutty thing goin’ on and the ingredients are all-natural including illipe butter and sea algae (which help firm and plump parched skin). I like that it’s moisturizing without being too greasy. While I’m obsessed with covering my everything with beauty oils, for some reason, I don’t like having super greasy hands. This hand cream isn’t greasy or slick at all, and it gets the job done.

Overall impression: Lots of value in this month’s box – $45 for $15 (with free shipping, yee-haw!). Box faves definitely include the body oil and cheek rouge. I was introduced to two new-to-me brands, Juara and Kumari, which is always fun – one of the best parts about beauty subscription boxes is discovering new gems. I still heart Ursa Major even though this face balm didn’t quite work out for me.

If you like what you see, you should consider hooking yourself up with a Petit Vour subscription! Also, you can buy products you love directly from PV’s online store. Customers (even non-subscribers) receive 20% back in PV Points with every shop purchase. It’s like a constant 20% discount and when you combine that with the free shipping on all orders $50+… it’s an insane deal. xx
