M’kay, let’s dive in to this bad boy!

LaRitzy’s April 2016 Vegan Beauty Box included:

Lippy Girl’s “Coral Me Maybe” Organic Lipstick,* $17 – I’m lovin’ the name of this pretty shade! It’s a gorgeous pearly coral, and I dig its super pure, organic, non-toxic ingredients including wildcrafted, natural oils, waxes and natural mineral pigments. The formula is buildable, moisturizing, and it feels really good on my lips. A++ for packaging, too. Subscribers received one of many shades – which one did you get?

Modern Minerals Duo Fiber Tapered Blending Brush, $17 – When it comes to makeup brushes, it’s all about the blending brush for me… it’s the quintessential eye tool, IMO. This brush is incredibly soft, and I love how flirty it is! I think you’re gorgeous, too, Modern Minerals, lol!  Annnnd so is Linky (floofin below), who might look like she’s silently judging this brush but she actually approves of its mega soft bristles.

Glow for a Cause “Innocence” Solid Perfume, $16 – I adore solid perfumes – you can throw ’em in your purse, they won’y spill, they’re easy to apply, and this one smells really, really good (super sweet and fruity) – it has notes of alyssum, jasmine, strawberries, bilberries, black currant, Bulgarian rose, ylang-ylang, almond, praline, peony, lily of the valley, cedar wood, sandalwood, rosewood. It’s definitely a unique blend. If you go to their website, they do list beeeswax as an ingredient but fret not, it was reformulated specifically for this collab – YEEHAW!

Toogga Organic Desert Date Oil,* $19 – Dang, I’ve been blessed with so many beauty oils thanks to these monthly vegan subby boxes! *taking a moment of silence to soak in the gratitude* This particular oil is definitely unlike anything I’ve tried before. I was pretty certain I knew about all the various oils worthy of facial slatherage… but date oil? I friggin’ love it! It absorbs into the skin pretty quickly, and you can use it on your hair and nails, too. DATE OIL, y’all! It’s unroasted and cold extracted from the Toogga Nut. All the nutritious virtues of this oil (e.g. antioxidants and unsaturated fatty acids) are kept intact. ← Wrinkle fighters! This oil has a sweet, date-y scent, too, which obvs is reason enough to cover yourself in this oil from head to toe.

Pearlies by Leo & Goa, $5 – I literally just finished swishing with this minty coconut oil. If you’re new to oil pulling, it’s an all-natural Ayurvedic method of cleansing and whitening your teeth.

How does it work, you ask? Your mouth is full of bacteria, some good some bad. When bacteria forms in the mouth, it creates a film of lipids on top of your teeth that can only be removed by binding with an oil which is where oil pulling comes in. You just swishy-swish for 5-15 minutes and spit. I will keep it real with y’all – it’s kind of a gross feeling to swish oil in your mouth, but it gets less gross the more you do it. It sure as hell beats chemical whiteners, though, that’s fo’ sho.

*my fave items from this month’s box

Overall impression: LaRitzy is definitely consistent with exceeding my expectations. The value of this box is ~$75 which is insane considering LaRitzy is only $25 and that includes free shipping! Such a crazy-good deal! My faves of the bunch include the organic lippie and date oil, but I pretty much love and will use everything in this month’s box. As always, it was a nice variety of items – skincare, makeup, perfume, oral care, and I had fun discovering healthy vegan, new-to-me beauty brands like Tooga, Leo & Goa, and Glow for A Cause.

If you like what you see, you should totes hook yourself up with a LaRitzy subscription.

BONUS: Use the code GIFT this week and you’ll get $5 off your order of a 3 or 12-month subscription and you’ll receive a free Complete Nail Care System from Bellapierre valued at $75 (WHAAAAT!?). It’s the perfect at-home mani pedi set for summer.
