Wah, not the sexiest shot. #happenedinthemail

Yesterday, in my post about Josie Maran’s list of vegan products, I teased today’s review of Josie Maran’s vegan Argan Matchmaker Serum Foundation. I previously referred to it as “magical, wizardry awesomeness,” and that’s because it uses “breakthrough color match technology” which is kind of mind-blowing.

It’s a serum foundation formulated with chameleon pigments (say WHAAAAAAT!?), that goes on white (see pics below) and adjusts to match your natural skin tone as you blend it in. It’s infused with yummy, skin’ lovin’ organic argan oil, making it perfect for dry skin, but it also helps keep oily areas shine-free (like in the T-zone).

While it’s not formulated with parabens, sulfates, synthetic fragrances, phthalates, GMOs, or Triclosan, it still contains some ingredients that aren’t entirely squeaky clean. I’d love to see them lean more in an all-natural direction, but this is a good start! Take a peep for yourself…

Love how it says vegan and cruelty-free right on the packaging!

Now, let’s talk coverage. This serum foundation offers light to medium coverage, especially if you layer on a second coat. I think it’s a couple notches oomphier than a tinted moisturizer, but it’s in a similar ballpark. Needless to say, it’s very natural looking and great for everyday wear. It’s easy to blend and it feels weightless on the skin, like you’re not wearing anything at all, which I love.

OK, time to witness the magic a.k.a. skin matching wazardry! Btw, this is the shade fair/light… and while it works all right with my skin tone, I’m kind of wishing I had gotten light/medium shade, but oh well.
