December 2015 LaRitzy

Y’all ready to peep the goodies from this December’s LaRitzy vegan beauty box? For those of you new to Laritzy, it’s a women’s subscription box that includes 4-5 full-size and luxury-size non-toxic and cruelty-free beauty products. There are different subscription options that vary in price and get cheaper with duration, but the low commitment month-to-month option is $24.99/month. If you wanna get a little taste of what LaRitzy has to offer, you can also sign up for their monthly LaMini box (2-3 full and luxury size vegan beauty finds) for $14.99.

Shipping is free to the US and is $5 to Canada.

M’kay, let’s dive in to this bad boy!

December’s LaRitzy beauty box included:

Trust Fund Beauty Nail Polish in Boy Tears,* $15 – Ha, boy tears! I love TFB’s sense of humor. 🙂 This fun glittery shade is blingy to the max! I will most definitely be using it in an upcoming Mani Monday feature, so stay tuned. All TFB polishes are vegan, cruelty-free, and 5-free – they’re one of my all-time fave vegan beauty brands.

MOTD Cosmetics Pigment Packer Makeup Brush,* $12 – I get SO giddy when I receive vegan makeup brushes in beauty boxes. And it’s not even like I need any more – they’re like shoes – you can never have enough! I love that this specific brush is a “pigment packer” – and thank you so much MOTD for naming it so. It can be frustrating when brushes just come with numbers and you’re like, “Huh? How do I use this?” The Pigment Packer speaks true to its name and is the perfect tool for building, pressing pigment on the lid, and creating the smokey eye. It’s made from taklon bristles (vegan & cruelty-free) that mimic natural hair and packs on pigment with precision.

Studio Aroma Cuticle Oil,* $12 – I’m really bad at regularly hookin’ up my cuticles with some TLC, but when I do, I usually just smear some jojoba oil all over my fingers and call it a day. I’ve actually never used a cuticle pen before, but after trying this one, I’m wondering why I’ve deprived myself all these years. They’re so easy and convenient (read: mess-free) to use, and this particular one some SO yummy (thanks to lavender, lemon, helichrysum, frankincense, myrhh, and lemon myrtle)!

Konjac Sponge, $12 – Wow, these keep popping up in subby boxes! Konjac sponges are all-natural face and body sponges made from vegetable fibers of the Konjac root (potato-like plant). They’re super gentle (perfect for babies and those with sensitive skin), antibacterial, and 100% biodegradable. I use these when I give the kiddos baths all the time.

Glam Natural Mascara in Brown, $28 – All-natural mascara is a breath of fresh air. The eyeball region is such a sensitive area… I wish ALL mascaras were made of super pure ingredients. I actually have this exact mascara but in black and I use it when I want a subtle and natural daytime look. It’s buildable so you can add volume if you like, too.

Glam Natural Cream Blush in After Hours sample – I haven’t opened this sample yet but I’ve tried GlamNatural cream blush before, and boy does it pack a punch. Their shades are really pretty and you only need a teensy-weensy bit for a lovely pop of color.

BodiSafe Night Cream  sample – Ya’ll, this is a THICK cream. I’m so used to slathering oils and butters on my face, that I took a rather nice sized gob of this stuff and smeared it errwhere… omg, it really is crazy thick (and it leaves your skin hella shiny)!! Next time, I’m just gonna use the tiniest amount because I know it’ll go a long way. The formula is all-natural and is made with nourishing shea butter, jojoba oil, almond oil, apricot kernal oil, pomegranate oil, black cumin seed oil, avocado oil, frankincense oil, myrrh oil, natural fragrance, and titanium dioxide.

Overall impression: The value of this box is insane – $80 worth of goodies (and 5 full-size items) for $25 and that includes free shipping! Totally blown away! My faves of the bunch are the pigment packer makeup brush and Trust Fund Beauty nail polish. I really like the variety of makeup and skincare products this month, and in general I think laRaitzy is a really fun way to discover new healthy vegan beauty brands.
