December 2015 Petit Vour

Happy Petit Vour Unboxing Day! December’s PV beauty box is pretty frickin’ fantastic. If you’re new to Petit Vour, it’s a monthly subscription box that comes loaded with samples (including full-sized ones) from fancy, vegan, cruelty-free, and non-toxic brands (I don’t know of any other beauty boxes with such high standards – LOVE!). You can peep all my previous PV box reviews here. This goodie box is only $15 a month (HELLA good deal, especially considering this month’s box is valued at $35!) and includes free shipping in the U.S. ($23 for Canada).

You’ll also be able to earn points in their shop with every purchase, review, and friend rec. Compassionate and affordable—pretty sweet, right?

December’s Petit Vour Beauty Box included the following non-toxic, squeaky clean, cruelty-free goodies:

Zabana Essentials Glow Stick, $9.95 – Ooh, nothing gets me more excited than sparklies! I was pretty nuts about Zabana’s dry glow shampoo that appeared in PV’s May 2015 box, so seeing another glittery product of theirs made my heart skip a beat. This moisturizing balm has a teensy hint of mica shimmer that can be used on the body and face, including your lips. It also has a fruity, tropical scent that makes my nose holes happy. 😉 I wouldn’t mind if they amped up the glitter factor though, as it is super subtle. In fact, I wouldn’t be bummed at all if they accidentally dumped a gigantor bucket of mica into the mix for some not-so-subtle shimmer. Can you tell I love glitter? 😉 Ha, just look at my nails in this pic!

Blissoma Scentless Deodorant Stick, $14.99 – I adore Blissoma as a brand. They make all-natural and effective skincare that my body sometimes craves. This deodoro is made with mango butter, bentonite clay, zinc, nourishing oils, and baking soda. It’s a dial-up deodorant stick, which is a convenient and much needed time saver. I can also attest to this bad boy keeping stank at bay. This is actually my second tube of this stuff – and I love their scented spray deodoros, too. I’m not always crazy big on unscented stuff in general (I’m EO-obsessed), but this is nice for when I don’t wanna clash perfumey scents.

Kani Botanicals Petal Polish Rose Face Mask, $10 – I literally just finished using this mask 10 minutes ago. I was able to apply the mask all over my face using only half the bag. It smells SO good… and it’s a unique scent, too – sweet, floral and warm. It’s made with brown sugar, shea butter, coconut oil, evening primrose oil, rose oil, frankincense oil, grapefruit seed extract and a whole bunch of other skin-lovin’ yummies. I followed with this mask/scrub with some rose water toner and a bit of argan oil, and my skin feels like heaven.

Mai Couture Blush Papier, $6 – Thank you Petit Vour for time savers like these! As a mom of two littles, time is hella precious (seriously, all I wanted for Christmas this year was frickity frackin’ TIME!). These are blush-infused blotting papers… take a moment to let that marinate… it’s frickin’ genius, right? My shiny makeupless, homeless-lookin’ mug NEEDS these so badly, you have no idea. These are obvs great for traveling, storing in the gym bag (that’s been collecting dust since 1942), car, purse, anywhere! To use: tear sheet in half. Use half sheet for each cheek. Pat to remove excess oil then rub to achieve color. BOOM! No fuss, no mess – LOVE it! Peep the pretty pink swatch below!

Overall impression: This month’s box has some interesting new-to-me beauty products. My faves are probably Kani Botanicals’ Petal Polish Rose Face Mask and Mai Couture Blush Papier. I can see myself purchasing these items again in the future fo’ sho.

If you like what you see, you should consider hooking yourself up with a Petit Vour subscription! Also, you can buy products you love directly from PV’s online store. Customers (even non-subscribers) receive 20% back in PV Points with every shop purchase. It’s like a constant 20% discount and when you combine that with the free shipping on all orders $50+… it’s an insane deal. xx

Argh. I canceled my subscription a month ago, not because I don’t LOVE this stuff, but I need to watch my budge. I sooo wish I had that glittery stick thing!! Dang! I’m gonna re-subscribe now. I can’t handle it. I miss my pink box. This is your fault, Babers.
