September 2015 BuddhiBox Review

Guess what time it is! It’s time to dish on all the sweet goodies from September’s BuddhiBox! New to BB? It’s catered to peeps who enjoy yoga, healthy living, and mindfulness. This subscription box is set up so that each month you’ll receive 4-6 thoughtfully curated products (samples and full sized items) from ethically-sourced and socially conscious companies. BuddhiBox also chooses a charity to donate proceeds to each month. This month a portion of sales goes to support Sgt. Pepper’s Friends, an organization that seeks to place homeless pets into loving homes and educate the public about animal welfare. You can read more about them here.

There are different subscription options that vary in price and get cheaper with duration, but the low commitment month-to-month option is $30.95/month. The sample size is $11.95/month. And right now you can use code ‘FALL’ for 15% off all gift subscriptions. Btw, you can peep my past BuddhiBox reviews here.

This month’s goodie box, which I’ll delve into in just a bit, also came with a BuddhiBox info card with a inspirational quote by Paul Coelho on the back, a recipe for Penne alla Norma (which can totes be veganized), and an instructional card for Downward Facing Dog (love saving these!)… so many cute lil’ extras!september 2015 buddhibox

September’s BuddhiBox included:

The Essential Nest’s Headache Relief Rollerball – I’ve actually been looking for an essential oil blend for headache and tension relief… now I just need someone to massage my temples (and my back, feet, and buns) so I can truly realx and de-stress. This blend has soothing lavender and peppermint mixed with sweet almond oil, and it smells fantastic! Love that it’s easy to stash in my purse, too.

Love Reusable Snack Pouches (2) –  Y’all, it’s 2015 – no more using disposable ziploc sankie bags! I know I’m preachin’ to the choir ’cause y’all obvi care about animals and the planet, but still, lemme get my preach on. Bottom line: we want this for our future and not this ← seriously f’ing breaks my heart. </end rant> …need some tension relief oil ↑ STAT. *Breathe, woman!* I digress (what’s new?) Anywho, these reusable and eco-friendly bags are super duper cute and they’re easy to clean – wash by hand or in your dishwasher (top rack). These will especially get lots of use when my honey boo bears start preschool – lil’ snack packs for the win!

Co Pur Hair & Body Butter – Since I have a complicated hair routine with my pinky locks (which mostly involves copious amounts of dry shampoo), I’ve decided to use this exclusively on my bodacious mom bod. Ha, I had to say that! 😉 #selfloveFTW Anywho, more digression, this ultra nourishing moisturizer is made with coconut and avocado oils, bergamot and lavender essential oils mixed with skin-lovin’ shea butter. It’s all-natural, it smells really nice, and a little goes a long way. I think this is a full size item, but I’m not 100% sure as it wasn’t filled to the top of the container (as seen below).

No Sweat Laundry Detergent –  This is a new-to-me brand. From their website: “This is high impact/low intensity formula made to dissolve body oil without wearing down fibers, protecting your clothes from pilling and color fading.” I was sold at “high impact” – I’m a mom of 2, so food stains, smeared boogers, poopie residue, etc. = my glamorous life. If this stuff can clean as well and as gently as it says, I will def be buying more. Stay tuned!

Rickaroons Vegan Macaroons – Confession. I ate this macaroon approx. 1 minute and 23.2 seconds after opening my BuddhiBox. AND it was dannnnng good! It was super coconutty and chocolatey… and it turns out it’s healthy, too. It’s got antioxidants, it’s low-glycemic, protein-rich, and energy-boosting. It’s also 100% organic, vegan, soy-free, gluten-free, and paleo-friendly (← is that still a thing?).

Ground 2 Table Spice Blend Packet – Lovin’ their motto “Buy small, use it all.” All of their seasonings are salt-free, sugar-free, non-GMO, and Certified Organic. I looked on the back of this packet to see what all was in it, and it read, “Ingredients: Spices.” Lol, thanks. 😉 Looked Spice Blend 9 up on their website and discovered it was their Italian seasoning blend. I make pasta at least once a week, so I’ll definitely be giving this a go soon.

1 Month Gift Card for Yoga Anytime – This gift card is good for a free month of world-class streaming workouts.  Shows are organized by practice level, length of class, and area of focus.

This month’s BB is valued at $75 (!), which is a lotta bang for the buck! I definitely recommend giving BuddhiBox a try – quality mindful products, amazing value. It would make a great gift for a friend, loved one, or yourself!

Do you think you’ll try BuddhiBox? What’s your favorite vegan and cruelty-free subscription box?
