Petit Vour August 2015

Happy Petit Vour Unboxing Day! I can’t wait to reveal all the über fab goodies in this month’s Petit Vour vegan beauty box! If you’re new to Petit Vour, it’s a monthly subscription box that comes loaded with samples (including full-sized ones) from fancy, vegan, cruelty-free, and non-toxic brands (I don’t know of any other beauty boxes with such high standards – LOVE!). You can peep all my previous PV box reviews here. This goodie box is only $15 a month (HELLA good deal, especially considering this month’s box is valued at ~$40!) and includes free shipping in the U.S. ($23 for Canada). Pretty sweet, right?

August’s “You’re Glowing” Petit Vour Beauty Box included the following non-toxic, squeaky clean, cruelty-free goodies:

MyChelle Dermaceuticals Fruit Enzyme Scrub* – Mychelle beauty products always make me giddy, especially when they unexpectedly pop up in beauty boxes! The scrub has super-smooth jojoba beads, refined bamboo stem powder and fruit enzymes that gently polish and degunk your skin.

Modern Minerals Tea Rose Finishing Glow – Even though I’m a beauty blogger, my makeup intuition skillz are in the process of being refined. For instance, this gorgeous pot of shimmery magic dust appeared to be a shadow, but it turns out it’s actually a glowy face powder that helps diminish fine lines and wrinkles (who knew?). I’ll take it! I just need to find a YouTube tutorial to show me how to use if properly. I’m guessing I use it like I would a highlighter? I really do love the subtle shimmer when I applied it on my hand. I need to play around with this a bit and report back.

Yarok Feed Your Shine Hair Serum – I especially like this item because my hair is a hot mess… I dye it, subject it to straight irons and basically take it for granted. These Shine drops zap moisture back into my locks, making them look healthy(er) and less dried, fried, used and abused. Also, a lil’ goes a long way. Love that it’s all-natural, organic, and packed with anti-oxidants, too.

JUARA Clove Flower & Turmeric Serum – I’ve been very into turmeric skincare products lately – big time! Turmeric helps fight wrinkles, combats acne, and it has amazing healing properties. This clove turmeric serum is a lightweight (has a gel-like consistency), oil-free, and applies effortlessly. As far as serums go, this one is definitely up there in the awesome department.

Overall impression: Even though some some of the products seemed a bit small, they certainly packed a punch. Rockstars in this month’s box included JUARA’s clove and turmeric serum and Mychelle’s Fruit Enzyme Scrub – will def be purchasing both again in the future.

If you like what you see, you should consider hooking yourself up with a Petit Vour subscription! Also, you can buy products you love directly from PV’s online store. Customers (even non-subscribers) receive 20% back in PV Points with every shop purchase. It’s like a constant 20% discount and when you combine that with the free shipping on all orders $50+… it’s an insane deal. xx
