DIY spot treatments

Acne, blemishes, spots, zits –  whatever you wanna call ’em, we’re here to annihilate every last one, but we’re gonna do so in a friendly, all-natural, eco-friendly, crunchy way. 😉 That’s right, Retin-A & benzoyl peroxide, don’t need ya – bye-bye!

5 All-Natural DIY Zit Zappers

  1. Steam your face with filtered hot water to prime your pores. Crush an aspirin tablet and mix it with a few drops of water and form a paste. Apply it to all those pesky pimpley spots and leave on for 5 minutes. Rinse off and pat dry. The aspirin will help reduce inflammation and redness.
  2. Mix 2 teaspoons of lemon juice with a pinch of salt and apply to affected areas. Leave on for 15-20 minutes. Lemon is an astringent and will zap dat oil right off ya face.
  3. Dab a bit apple cider vinegar on the affected areas and leave it on overnight. This has a bit of a stank factor so just apologize to your honey bunny in advance before hittin’ the hay.
  4. Soak a cotton ball with witch hazel (another astringent) and generously apply to zits for a few minutes.
  5. Okay, I saved the stinkiest remedy for last (you’re welcome). 😉 Did you know garlic is a zit zappin’ wonder? It’s antiseptic and antibacterial! Smash a clove of garlic and mix it with 1/3 cup of warm water. Apply the mixture to your face and rinse off after 3-5 minutes.

What’s your favorite all-natural way to treat blemishes? xo
