lvx turkoise veganHappy Vegan & Cruelty-Free Manicure Monday!

Happy spring, too! In honor of spring’s springiness, I’m rockin’ two coats of LVX’s Turkoise, a warm and friendly ultra marine (LVX’s nod to Pantone’s Spring 2015 Lucite Green), accented with elegant birds and flowers using Spa Ritual’s Gold Digger and MoYou London’s Mother Nature Plate #2.

In case you’re new to LVX polishes, they’re all vegan, cruelty-free, long-lasting, chip-resistant, and 5-free (made without Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, DBP, Toluene and Camphor) – definitely one of my all-time fave 100% vegan beauty brands!

What do you guys think of this pretty spring green? Lemme know in the comments below. xoxo

Hey Sunny! I love your blog and instagram. I am currently vegetarian transitioning to vegan (slow process with the make up section) . I was wondering if you knew anything regarding OPI nail polish and Essie nail polish. I’ve tried looking it up online and everything I’ve found seems to be out of date. Do you know if they are cruelty free or not?

Hi Ansley! Thanks so much for reaching out and for the kind words. Also, kudos for transitioning to a vegan lifestyle (and at your own pace, which is key). :)
OPI was acquired by Coty (not a cruelty-free company) and also sells in China where animal testing is required by law. Essie was acquired by L’Oreal (also not a cruelty-free company), but I’m unsure about Essie’s individual cruelty-free status. I’ll update this comment if/when I’m able to find out more. In the meantime, feel free to check out this list of cruelty-free and vegan-friendly nail polish brands:

      Hope this helps! :) xx
