vegan beauty brands
All right, all you Level 5 Vegans – sure, there are lots of cruelty-free brands lists floating around on the interwebs, but this list of exclusively vegan beauty brands is especially for you! There’s nothing sweeter than having to skip reading ingredient labels at the store when you already know a specific brand is 100% against animal testing and is completely free of all animal-derived ingredients. Can I get an AMEN?! 😀 If you haven’t quite made the vegan plunge but most definitely wanna support companies who don’t test on animals, you should peep my complete list of cruelty-free beauty brands here. And if you’re wondering what the heck is the difference between “vegan” and “cruelty-free”, please peep my post on that topic here as well. **SMOOCHIES**

Bookmarked this great list–thanks Sunny! Many favorites are here & many are new to me too. If it continues to be maintained, a heads-up that I just checked out Tao Skincare from the Skincare category & they use honey in their cleanser. Thanks for all you do. Warmly, Stacy

  2. debbie says:

Dazzling Minerals is really good quality for the price and they have multi use pigments that do everything which I love. Cruelty free and vegan. :)

  3. Kim Snyder says:

I love your list! I would think it would be neat to be added if at all possible :) Overall Beauty Minerals 100% vegan mineral makeup. or
Ps your blog is amazing! Great tips on the differences of vegan and or cruelty-free.. Be awesome if it meant the same.

  4. Rajni Ragoonauth says:

    What about ELF?

  5. Debbie says:

What about 100%pure and are these all organic products???

  6. kamari says:

I was curious as to why LimeCrime isn’t on the list?

    • imari says:

limecrime isn’t vegan, just cruelty free, they use beeswax. when doedeere was confronted with this she made a big shit about how people dont understand what vegan is.

  7. Melanie says:

What about Zuzu and Just Pure Minerals? Both have great makeup lines.

  8. Hey Sunny,
I’m vegetarian going vegan and in the market for vegan skin care, cosmetics and hair care, so your list and reviews are exactly what I was looking for. Thank you so much for doing that. It’s great to have so many options and reviews in one place.

  9. Julie says:

Hi Sunny, I want to say that this list is amazing.

  10. Charada says:

This is a wonderful resource, thank you so much :)

  11. Keanna says:

  12. Steph Lalique says:

Hey! Greeeeat list, thank you! I’ve been looking for a good new list for a while! Can you also recommend vegan makeup brushes that are good and professional? So far all vegan ones I bought we’re kinda rough on my skin. Thanks again!!

  13. Another great company to add is HeartCoeur.

They are a Cruelty Free Vegan Make-up company.

  14. Bonnie says:

    Hi Sunny,
Great list and fab site. Eco-Tan is a 100% vegan self tanner from Australia with a really interesting back story. They are accredited vegan and ship worldwide.

  15. Rajni Ragoonauth says:

Thank you so much for posting this! I love supporting all vegan companies, and am always on the lookout for awesome vegan cosmetics and skincare! Thanks a million!

  16. InXTransition says:

Hi, Sunny! Doesn’t Dr. Bronner’s lip balm have beeswax in them? And Gabriel Cosmetics carries goat and pony hair makeup brushes…

    • Sunny says:

From Gabriel Comsetics’ website: “Goat and pony hairs are gathered each winter as they’re shed from the animals’ tails (that’s when they are the softest), so no creature is ever harmed.”

Shed hair is different from procured hair. As far as where one wants to draw the line, that’s a personal choice.

And yes, Dr. Bronner’s lip balm contains beeswax. :( Not vegan.

  17. Ellie says:

Geek Chic Cosmetics are also vegan and their themes make my little nerd heart happy.

  18. kadyxvx says:

Melt cosmetics is no longer a vegan company, their lipstick 6six6 was recently reformulated to contain carmine. (i know because i had them on my vegan list too)

  19. Angie says:

    Awesome! Thank you!

  20. SweatyGirl says:

    Here’s one!

Thanks for this list… SO HELPFUL!

  21. jerilyn says:

would it be possible to put together budget friendly lists. I know that even the cruelty free cheaper brands are more expensive than the other brands, I would not mind spending few dollars if I can buy something that is proven cruelty free.

  22. Christina says:

    Thank you for this!

  23. Wow, what a list! Happy to see so many on there :) Really useful to have handy, thank you!

  24. Phyrra says:

I believe Rainbow Honey is 100% vegan. I am subscribed to their monthly mini mystery bag.

  25. Neha Chokshi says:

Hi! I have a completely vegan company that’s not on this list…how do I get added? Jade Lilly offers vegan skincare and bodycare as well as a bit of haircare (adding more products very soon too)
    Love the blog!

    • Sunny says:

Hi Neha, thanks for the comment and for reading my blog. :) I was checking out your website and noticed your lip butters have beeswax in them which is not a vegan ingredient. If anything changes in the future, please keep me posted.

      • Neha Chokshi says:

Jade Lilly is completely vegan. Thank you for noticing something I totally missed on a product listing that didn’t get updated with the rest of the website! I have updated with the correct ingredient list for Lip Butter.
I hope you will still consider Jade Lilly for the list!

  26. Hey Sunny! My skincare business is 100% vegan too, in fact all of our blends are registered by the Vegan Society and carry their trusted trademark logo. We’re based in the UK but ship worldwide from Thanks for adding us to your list if you think we make the grade :) Best wishes, Pascale xo (founder, Blue Labelle Skincare)
