Quinoa DIY mask

When you’re committed to a vegan diet, you cannot use all those “anti-aging wonders” that have been tested on animals and have suspicious ingredients in the list. Does that mean that you’ll get wrinkles sooner than other women? Oh no! In fact, your vegan diet contributes towards your youthful appearance and your healthy lifestyle shows on your skin. But that’s not where the fight against the signs of aging stops.

The ingredients in your kitchen provide you with enough options for DIY anti-aging masks to last you a lifetime. Are you looking for an innovative and really effective recipe for a mask that delivers immediate results? Here it comes!

Ingredients

These are the things you need to instantly make your skin smoother and more radiant:

  • 1 tsp organic quinoa flour
  • 1 bag of white tea
  • 1 tbsp. mashed banana

That’s it! Let’s see what makes each of these ingredients good for your skin:

  1. Quinoa is not only a superfood, it’s a super skin-booster as well. What is the most important nutrient in quinoa flour we should appreciate? Vitamin A, which will smoothen out the skin and fade the dark spots! But wait, that’s not all; quinoa also contains an important nutrient called lysine. This may not sound familiar, but it’s really important for your skin’s ability to produce collagen. In other terms, it makes you look younger. Plus, the flour makes for a great scrub that will help you get rid of dead skin cells.
  2. White tea is packed with antioxidants that will help your skin fight the aging factors. Of course, you can use green tea as well, but white tea contains a greater quantity of antioxidants. Make yourself a nice cup of tea and drink it before preparing the mask. Remove the bag and mix the tea with quinoa flour.
  3. Bananas are great for your overall health, but they are also listed among the greatest ingredients for DIY masks. The mashed banana will moisturize and hydrate your tired skin, and the B vitamins will protect it against free radicals. In addition, the banana also contains lectin, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Vitamin A, and Zinc – all these are awesome for aging skin.

So take these simple ingredients, combine them and apply the mask on a clean face. Don’t forget to invite a friend and be beautiful together. Leave the mask to do its magic for 15 minutes and use the mixture as a facial scrub before you wash it off. See how smooth your skin has become?

Have Fun With Experimenting!

Your kitchen gives you endless opportunities for risk-free experiments. You can replace the banana with avocado, white tea with green tea, and use buckwheat flour instead of quinoa. You have some aloe vera juice in your kitchen? Well feel free to add some in the mixture; your skin will appreciate it. Skincare can be more fun than ever when you allow yourself to be creative with DIY anti-aging masks. If you have never used a particular ingredient, make sure to check whether it’s safe for your skin or it may cause irritation. Your best friend Google can tell you that.

Stay creative, motivated and beautiful!
