Cruelty-Free Makeup Look of the Day

August 12, 2014By 2 Comments

People ask me all the time, “Tiffany, how do you get your make-up looking so great?” Just kidding. No one has ever asked me that. But you bet your sweet ass they’re gonna start!  How you like me now?!  I did that to myself!!!

If you knew me, you’d know this is a big deal. I don’t know anything about applying make-up. I want to know, but I’ve been scared to experiment and the crappy stuff I’ve tried in the past had me looking more like a clown than the queen that I am (at least, I felt like a queen when I put my face on for this Glamour Shot).

Because I have very minimal skills, I owe this look to 2 things. 1. Watching a couple of youtube videos and 2. Awesome products. For the make-up tutorials on youtube, just Google that shizzie. Tons of ‘em will come up. But, here’s the lowdown on the goods:

  1. Jewel Up the Ocean metallic eyeshadow from Essence Cosmetics.  Oh man, this stuff rules. I applied it using a brush from my Crown HD Collection. It goes on very easily and the color is STUNNING, obviously.
  2. Also from Essence, on my lips I have Wear Berries long lasting lipstick. It didn’t last long, so they lied, but I don’t care. It’s super smooth and rich and I like reapplying it! Had I put some pencil underneath, the color would have stayed longer, I’m sure.
  3. On the lashes, again, Essence FTW.  You can’t tell how awesome they looked in this picture, but I used Get Big Lashes and they got big, so they weren’t lying with this one! I’m addicted to this mascara.
  4. Rounding out the list of notable products is Wet n’ Wild MegaLiner Liquid Eyeliner. I really like liquid liner and this one is cheap, does the job, and you can probably buy it a friggin 7-11.

I’m not gonna lie. I was a bit insecure leaving the house with this eyeshadow, but again, I’m not gonna lie. I got loads of looks that night. Lesson learned. I’m branching out and having fun with my face. You should too! Well, with your own face of course.
