Mmm, grilled cheese sankies! I love ‘em, kids love ‘em—heck, errbody loves ‘em! They’re quick and easy to make, yummers to the max, and these vegan ones could fool any omni. There are so many vegan cheeses to choose from (e.g. Tofutti, Daiya and Teese) but the rockstar ingredient in my fave grilled cheese sammy is Follow Your Heart Mozzarella Shreds. ♥ Check it out, yo!
Yummy Vegan Grilled Cheese Sandwich
- Follow Your Heart Shreds (Mozzarella or Cheddar)
- 2 slices of dairy-free sourdough bread
- Earth Balance
Pile a decent sized mound of FYH cheesy goodness on a slice of bread, and top it off with the other slice of bread and press the sandwich together firmly. Lightly oil your cooking pan with Earth Balance and place over medium high heat. Cook sankie until cheese is ooey gooey and the bread is golden brown on both sides. Plate and then EAT!
