DIY blueberry face mask

Zits… they absolutely suck! Even that word makes me cringe. Whether you have acne-prone skin or pesky hormonal breakouts, this recipe is gonna rock your world!

DIY Acne-Fighting Blueberry Face Mask

  • 1/4 cup mashed fresh blueberries (The vitamins in blueberries neutralize oil levels in your skin.)
  • 1 tsp. powdered oats (Oats whisk away dead cells, irritation, and redness, leaving your skin supple and soft.)
  • 1 tbsp. virgin coconut or jojoba oil (Both of these oils are non comedogenic i.e. they won’t clog pores. Coconut oil is naturally antibacterial, antiviral, anti fungal, and antimicrobial. and jojoba oil helps balance skin’s sebum, so it moisturizes dry skins and chills out the oil production in oily skin.)

Mix all the ingredients together until smooth and apply to your face. Leave on for 10 minutes and then wipe off with a warm, damp cloth. Follow with your favorite vegan and cruelty-free toner and facial moisturizer. :)

This may be silly… but how about raspberries? I was sure I had blueberries left and got all of my ingredients ready only to find out the raspberries are the survivors this time around. I’m gonna give it a go anyway.. I’m sure at the least it’ll smell tasty.

What are powdered oats? Can I use rolled oats?
