Aloe vera is is revered as a sort of miracle plant due to its many health and beauty benefits. Aloe Vera is mega moisturizing because it contains about 99.5 percent water, but it actually absorbs into the skin about four times faster than water does. It’s also packed with lots of healing vitamins, minerals, amino acids, enzymes, and natural antiseptics (which fight against mold, bacteria, fungus, etc.).

Here’s an easy way to to incorporate aloe vera into your beauty routine that’s bound to leave your skin über nourished and youthful-looking (it’s especially great for dry and acne-prone skin).

Aloe Vera Body Scrub

What you’ll need:

  • 2 cups of sea salt
  • 1 cup of aloe vera gel
  • 1 cup of coconut oil (or jojoba, olive, sweet almond, grapeseed oil)
  • 7-12 drops of your favorite essential oil (I personllay love anything in the citrus family for this particular scrub)

Mix all the ingredients together, and massage the scrub all over your body in the shower. Rinse, and enjoy your soft, smooth-ass, sexy skin! ;) xx

    Hi,
Just tried the scrub minus essential oil because I didn’t have any, it still turned out very nice. What does the essential oil add to it? Is it just for fragrance? how would you store the mixture after, I had some left.
    Thanks!

Yep, essential oil just makes it smell pretty (for the most part). You can store the scrub in a jar for a couple weeks, and you can also extend the shelf life by refrigerating it. :)

  2. I *lovelovelove* salt scrubs and aloe is a definite must in the winter! Thinking about adding a little lime zest to this mix… yum!
