Cruelty-Free Moisturizers for Winter!

It’s Happy Hour and your skin is thirsty! Bottoms up!

How many lotions are on the market? 6 million? 20 billion? Last time I checked, the official number was “a shit ton.” I’m actually happy to have so many to choose from because there is some serious crap on the shelves. Overpriced, greasy, stanky. If you’re looking for no-frills, quality, wallet-friendly stuff you must check out derma e. It made my dry, rough and flaky skin feel as soft as my 4-year-old’s back (I know, weird but his back is the BOMB).

derma e intensive therapy

Derma e is silky smooth, chalked full of Vitamin E and includes  tocopherols and tocotrienols (alpha-, beta-, gamma- and delta-) that are sourced from Cranberry Seed and sustainably harvested Red Palm Oil! Damn straight y’all, because I ain’t using any lotion that had to do with killing an orangutan.

I tried the Vitamin E Intensive Therapy Body Lotion. It comes fragrance-free or with a light hint of lavender. It’s super moisturizing and not greasy at all. My skin drank this ish up like it was happy hour at my local watering hole!

The other shizzie I dipped into was the Body Balm. HELLLOOOO. So dope. Scoop a smidge out (you don’t need a lot), rub it into the granny elbows and bam! Smoooooth sailing! At this point, I’m pretty addicted to this tub of cream.  Lately I’ve even been rubbing it on the back of my neck and giving myself a massage! Ain’t nobody else doing it. Shoot.

Of course, derma e stuff is all 100% vegan, cruelty-free, paraben-free, gluten-free, GMO-free, phthalate-free, petrolatum-free, lanolin-free.

Surface Skincare

Now if you’re looking for a product that will fragence-ify your bodacious body, Surface (known only in the past for their hair care line) is branching out with skin care products. Dipping their toes in the water with Acai & Poppy Seed Body Wash and Acai & Blueberry Body Lotion, the aptly name Surface Skin is free of gluten, parabens, sulfalte, phthalates and animal anythang. The body wash is super creamy and has poppy seeds in it (fret not gals; it won’t affect your drug test)!  And after you be done washing yo’self, you can put the Acai & Blueberry lotion on your skin so you won’t get the hose again.  Lightweight and not greasy at all, this lotion will have you smelling like a blueberry pancake. NOM NOM NOM.

Git it on girls. Everybody needs a drink sometimes, even your skin.
