diy hairspray

Whether you’re planning on rockin’ luscious mad curls, Farah Fawcett hair feathers, a retro beehive, or pin curls, (etc.), you’re gonna need HAIRSPRAY (and lots of it).

Ditch the nasty aerosol kind, and make this ish at home using only TWO (!!) ingredients from your kitchen.

What you’ll need:

  • 4 teaspoons vegan sugar (use more or less depending on the level of hold you want)
  • 1 cup filtered water
  • 4-6 drops of your favorite essential oil (optional)
  • Spray bottle

Heat your water in a saucepan to just under a boil, and dissolve your sugar in the hot water. Let cool and add your essential oils (I personally like lavender and citrusy scents for this). Pour your hairspray into your spray bottle, and voila! It really works!

Let me know how this works for you?
