SeabuckWonders

Brace yourselves for age-defying, WTF-awesome skincare courtesy of the SeaBuckthornWonders posse! Quick 411 on the Sea Buckthorn berry: it’s a superfruit that grows on a spiny shrub in the Himalayas, and it’s packed full of powerful antioxidants, vitamins (A, C & E), essential fatty acids, and the entire family of Omegas (3, 6, 9 and the mega rare Omega 7)—all fancy, motha nature-blessed properties that will help boost your level of beautitude to a 10+. Sea Buckthorn promotes cell tissue regeneration (helps heal wounds and restore skin tissue), which means existing fine lines and future wrinkles don’t stand a chance!!

SeabuckWonders skincare products are vegan, cruelty-free, and organic—WINNING! Speaking of winning, don’t forget to enter my fab giveaway after reading my review! :)

The Goods:

Sea Buckthorn Exfoliating Facial Cleanser, $16.97: First of all, lemme just say that I love that SBW has this 4-part system to keep me lookin’ my freshest. Step one: De-grime! This gentle cleanser kicks major ass at removing all the gunk, makeup, flung baby food, etc. off my face. It’s great for all skin types, and it leaves my face feeling refreshed, soft, scrummy, and kissable.

Sea Buckthorn Deep Hydrating Serum, $34.97: Serums usually freak my out because I’m always worried that it’ll be like smearing shiny-ass, get-all-over-my pillow oil all over my face. Not this one! This serum is crazy dope. It’s light and doesn’t leave my skin oily at all. It’s designed to nourish and support cell regeneration (i.e. make us look foin young lassies… wrinkles and fine lines be GONE with yo’ nasty selves!). Again this product also works for all skin types, so slather this bad boy on, and let your skin happily slurp it up!

Sea Buckthorn Facial Cream, $19.97: This rich and creamy (but lightweight when it’s on), non-greasy cream is ultra hydrating, quick-absorbing, and hella yumtastic smelling with its delicate citrus-y hint of orange essential oil. I use this twice daily, and so far I’m lovin’ the results – soft, supple, healthy-looking skin.

Sea Buckthorn Body Lotion, $14.97: This lotion has a high concentration of sea buckthorn oil which helps protect skin from signs of aging (stay out of the sun, people!). As with all products listed above, it’s super nutrient-rich and yummy-smelling! I like to slather this on after I bathe… I always lube up my legs after I get all squeaky clean. A girl can’t have too many body lotions, na mean?

M’kay, now that you know these products are pretty damn fab, it’s time to give some away (I’m talkin’ a set of all four products)!!! See contest deets below, and also be sure to check out SeabuckWonders’ special Father’s Day “Man Kit” which is on sale until 6/16 – use coupon code FDAY50.

I have no routine, but I really need to get one together!

  10. Sabrina C says:

My current routine is LUSH Coalface or Ocean Salt and then the Enzymion moisturizer or coconut oil. I also use Greased Lightning for breakouts, but I am down to the end of my bottle, so I bought MyChelle at Whole Foods to try

  11. I use Dr. Bronner’s.

  12. Cassie H says:

I take the cheap route when it comes to skin care: baking soda, a generic gentle cleanser, apple cider vinegar toner, and homemade skin cream. I think my skin would really benefit from all the superpowers in this fancy stuff!

  13. Catharine W. says:

I use alba botanica facial cleanser.

  14. Jennifer K says:

Like another poster, I use Juice Beauty but am looking to switch since they decided to expand to China (and thus test their product on animals…)

  15. Kellybee says:

I’ve been using some lovely handmade soaps from a small shop that are organic & vegan-I think my skin just feels healthier knowing that all those nasty chemicals aren’t there! xoxo

  16. K says:

I’m using a Juice Beauty Travel Pack right now to cleanse and moisturize.

  17. Nicole says:

I just use bar soap. I don’t remember what kind it is – we bought it at a craft sale.

  18. Monica Crain says:

I LOVE JustNeem and Strawberry Hedgehog soaps! I always use them to take of my makeup and clean my skin before bed. I find myself scrubbing my face for a super long time because they smell soo yummy! They also really relax you before bed. Great stress-relievers!

  19. Lydia Claire says:

If I didn’t wear makeup then I just use a toner to clean my skin. If I did then I use a facial wash to clean it off. All of my products are vegan of course!

  20. Megan G says:

I cleanse with whatever soap I have in the shower, then a slather of plain ol’ jojoba oil.

  21. Valerie Hare says:

I am brand new to the vegan community, but as I conduct more research on the harmful chemicals that are put in mainstream beauty products, I am choosing to buy organic as a result. Currently, I have oily acne prone sensitive skin. I am not using face soap, but instead warm water on my face and moisturizing with organic Argan oil at night. I would love to win such a beautiful set of products. Natural is best! Btw, kick ass website! :D

  22. Sarah says:

    I don’t have one :(
    yet.

  23. Terri Cole says:

I have terrible rosacea and I don’t know what to use on my skin! Maybe this would help, thanks for the chance to win.

  24. Lush ocean salt and tea tree toner! Xo

  25. Anna W says:

My current vegan skin care routine is water and a towel. Simple as that, but I have some flare ups and my skin is suffering from stress now. I need to find a solution!

  26. Ally says:

My Vegan skincare routine is dermalogica cleanser and daily microfoliant along with Korres Wild Rose 24-hour moisturizing cream

  27. mollysusie says:

I’m not totally sure my skin care is vegan, but I use the Body Shop naturals products (wash, toner, and lotions) and the Bare Minerals exfoliating powder. Would love to try the Sea buck Wonders line… thanks for the giveaway!

  28. BlackAsphodel says:

At the moment I use SeabuckWonders and Burt’s Bees products.

    My e-mail: blackasphodel(at)yahoo(dot)com

  29. Michele Clark Powell says:

I haven’t tried this. I use Josie Maran Cleansing Oil (which I won as I can’t afford to buy anything) and L’Oreal Revitalift system (which I also won). I’d love to try something else as the L’Oreal has a horrible amount of fragrance that makes my own and everyone near me’s eyes burn after I apply it. It’s seriously horrible in that sense. Works great but gawd, the fragrance!

  30. Lisa G says:

Oil Cleansing, tea tree oil pad, and moisturizer.

  31. I pretty much just splash warm water on my face, wipe dry with a towel to wipe off the old grease, and then I put coconut oil on my face. Not so much oil lately, because it’s warmer and I’m not so flaky, but in the winter I definitely need to oil up everyday, sometimes even without water/wiping first. It’s the simplest routine I’ve found where I can be sure of what I’m using on my skin.

  32. Jessica G. says:

Shampoo. I cant afford a separate facial cleanser.. my face hates me for it. :(

  33. Sarah says:

Currently I am broke, so I use a bar of natural soap to wash my face and I moisturize with John Master’s Organics Rose and Apricot Antioxidant day cream. I also use argan oil by Acure. Finally, to take off my makeup, I use cleansing wipes from Alba.

  34. Sarah says:

These products look fabulous! I currently use a mix of products but mostly from Lush.

  35. LRW says:

    nice giveaway :)

  36. I just do cleanser and lotion. I would love to use the serum, a vegan serum!!!

  37. Julia says:

My thing is I search wherever I can to use organic, vegan, (bad) chemical-free products. And when something can be simplified, I’m ALL ABOUT it.

For face wash, I just use organic extra virgin coconut oil. Yep, no soap. It has transformed my west-coast-moved-to-the-east-coast skin into something healthy and beautiful after my first winter on the east coast ravaged me. I do pretty much what this blog post says to do – http://www.littlemissmba.com/2013/03/i-only-wash-my-face-with-coconut-oil.html

For sunscreen and night cream, I use a brand called Devita. I have had so much success with their line that I’ve become super loyal, and damn I’m picky, so that’s saying something I think. Their sunscreen is vegan and doesn’t use nanoparticles (yay!). It also doesn’t leave the white paint look other sunnies do and is non-greasy and still absorbs fast and smells great. Yummy! And their night cream is deeeeelliiiiissssh. Oh and I also use their eye cream.

On some days, I might tone with Thayer’s alcohol-free rosewater/witchhazel toner. I make face masks with Aztec Secret Indian clay and maybe some plain yogurt (soy, coconut, whatever you like without sugar), or whatever seems right for my skin at the time.

There’s makeup and whatnot too, but that’s a whole ‘nother post! :)

  38. I don’t have much of a routine right now. Just cleanse & moisturize. Occasionally use a facial scrub.

  39. Janel M. says:

I’m using MyChelle cleanser, serum, and moisturizer. I might try an exfoliant soon.

  40. Francis says:

I wash, clean, exfoliate and hydrate my skin. I use an awesome eye cream from Accura (thanks to you and your reviews)

  41. Amanda says:

I just use a cleanser and moisturize…sometimes I will use a rosewater toner. This mama doesn’t have time for anything else!

  42. Annika says:

I’ve just recently started looking into vegan cosmetics, so my routine involves regular products. But this would help me on the way!

  43. Amy says:

Oooooh! You always have the best product reviews. The body lotion sounds wonderful, especially for summer.

  44. Ebba says:

Cleaner, moisturizer, and sunscreen for my pasty white skin!

  45. Lisa says:

These look great. I’m a cleanser, moisturizer kind of gal, but really could use a serum or ten. :)

  46. black0nblack says:

I mostly just use skin by ann webb coconut cleanser daily and jojoba oil mixed with vitimin e oil when i’m feeling dry

  47. Wehaf says:

I use a lot of shea butter products!

  48. yvonne says:

awesome give away. I really want the cleanser and anti-aging serum.

  49. Rosie Areola USA says:

Cleanser, Lotion and and anti-aging serum.
