Fab Vegan Haircare: Green + Glam

green + glam

Ever since I’ve been dying my hair pretty colors like pink and purple (which requires pre-bleaching – blech!), I’ve been on the lookout for high quality, natural haircare products that’ll protect my delicate hairsies and vibrant color. I was fortunate to receive some Green + Glam haircare samples from Organic Beauty Now, and they pretty much rock my world. They are 100% natural (no sulfates, silicones, or chemicals), vegan and cruelty-free, certified organic, gentle yet effective, and they have have hella sleek packaging, no? :)

Shampoo, $22: As with most natural shampoos, you can expect less sudsy action, but that doesn’t mean your hair isn’t getting clean. We’ve gotten so used mega foamy, lathery bubbles in our shampoos (due to the carcinogenic ingredient SLS ), that we freak when we’re not drowning in sudsville. It really is just a sensation/mind trick… those bubbles only make us think it’s cleaning more deeply. So this formula might take some getting used to, but it’ll be well worth it! It’s made with antioxidant-rich organic olive leaf extract and a blend of essential oils to help repair and nourish hair. It’s great for all hair types, and it’s color-safe! ←muy importante!

Intensive Moisturizer, $24: This ultra thick and intense crème conditioner is perfect for over-fried, over-dyed, mistreated hair (like mine). It contains organic babassu oil and essential oils that leave hair super soft and manageable. I sometimes use a bit as leave-in conditioner as well, which also acts as a detangler.

I’m definitely excited to try out some other Green + Glam now! :)

What’s your favorite vegan shampoo and conditioner?
