BB creams are all the rage! I feel like this beauty product is stalking me on the Internet (good to know my cookies are working). *pause* What the fcuk is BB cream? —It basically stands for Beauty Balm, and it’s a multi-functional, all-in-one moisturizer/anti-aging serum/primer/foundation/sunblock. You can wear it alone as a tinted moisturizer, as foundation, and/or under finishing powder ← how I like to rock it.
Even though the race is on for the latest and greatest BB cream, there’s only one vegan version that I know of that isn’t loaded with chemicals, parabens and preservatives—derma e‘s BB Crème! Everything in derma e’s line is paraben-free, phthalate-free, and nothing contains sodium lauryl sulfates, petrolatum, mineral oil, or artificial colors. Also, their entire line is 100% vegan, cruelty-free, and manufactured with wind energy. ♥ ♥ ♥ And as a side note, derma e makes my FAVORITE anti-aging products evah, and you know how obsessed I am with those!!
Evenly Radiant BB Crème (on sale for $34.50) does all of this awesome stuff right here:
- Conceals – This lightweight formula helps hide imperfections and evens skin tone (available in light and medium tints).
- Brightens – Active plant stem cells, peptides, and antioxidants (sourced from Green Tea, and Vitamins C and E) revitalize skin.
- Moisturizes – It’s infused with long-lasting hydration.
- Protects – It contains SPF 25, which helps fight wrinkles.

I used this BB Creme (light tint, as swatched above) in my latest YouTube video because I knew it was gonna give me maximum coverage—and it did. I’m madly in love with this product! And think about it… it doesn’t make sense to have a “time-and-skin-saving” BB cream if it’s loaded with ick ingredients like all the conventional brands. Choose one thats’s actually good for your skin!
If you know of any other BB creams that are vegan and non-toxic, please let me know!
xx

I would recommend the Devita moisture tints, although they only come in 3 shades.

Have you tried the body shop one?
Not yet. You?
How does this compare to Suntegrity’s “5 In 1″ Natural Moisturizing Face Sunscreen? It’s a tinted moisturizer with spf. Haven’t tried it myself, but have you heard of it?

Not sure. I still need to try Suntegrity’s. It sounds pretty comparable, though.
There is a fantastic vegan BB cream available in Australia from Nude By Nature: http://paintedinblack.wordpress.com/2013/01/17/nude-by-nature-bb-5-in-1-miracle-cream-50ml/
I believe Jane Iredale’s Glow Time Full Coverage BB Cream is also vegan and it comes in 6 shades.
Ooh, I’ll have to check that out! Thanks for letting me know.
