The average woman puts 515 chemicals on her body every day (holy Scheiße!!). This is especially redonk if you’ve got a teeny nursing muchkin who you’re taking care of as if your life depended on it. Solution: Opt for natural, paraben-free, cruelty-free, vegan beauty products for both you and your scrumptious babeh.
I have a pretty huge arsenal of baby/mama beauty products, but some of my all-time faves are from Pyur. Looooooove this brand! ♥ ♥ ♥
Products you HAVE to try (believe me, you will thank my ass later) ;):
Nourishing Baby Lotion, $17.95: This super gentle lotion has Vitamin E, chamomile, lavender, and moisturizing butters and oils, making it perfect for even the most sensitive skin. It’s non-greasy, fast-absorbing, and it smells beautiful and calming. Lavender is the perfect scent for little ones.
Baby Hair and Body Wash, $15.95: This pH-balanced shampoo and body wash is gentle on baby’s sensitive skin. It’s loaded with vitamins, antioxidants, fatty acids, relaxing lavender and chamomile essential oils, and moisture-rich ingredients. I use this on myself, too, when I’m taking a bath with my babe before beddies, and it’s absolutely perfect; we feel and smell wonderful before we hit the hay.
Belly Butter, $22.95: Okay, Im freakishly, insanely obsessed with this belly butter. It’s designed to help prevent prenatal stretch marks. It’s thick and rich with moisturizers to help rejuvenate skin and reduce the appearance of pregnancy lines, even postpartum. And you don’t have to be preggo or post-preggo to reap the benefits of this thirst-quenching body butter.
Practicality aside, this butter smells like spice cake frosting. It’s my favorite scent EVER! I’m not sure what kind of magic they rocked to put my olfactory glands in a happy trance, but they did so and with the purest and simplest of ingredients: Organic Aloe Vera Juice, Rose Distillate, Organic Shea Butter, Organic Calendula Extract, Cocoa Butter, Avocado Oil, Carrot Oil, Witch Hazel, Vitamin E, Kokum Butter, and Mango Butter. YUMS, I tella ya!
This Belly Butter is def one of my top 10 VBR beauty picks, and that’s saying a lot!
