North Coast Organics Review and Giveaway!

Guys… guys… GUYYYYYYYSSSSS!!!!! I’ve found something extraordinary. Something you will not be able to fathom. It’s miraculous. It’s marvelous. It’s—it’s MORE VEGAN DEODORANT THAT ACTUALLY WORKS!!!!

You’re probably thinking I say this about every vegan deodorant I’ve tried as of late, but let me just tell you—I’ve sampled three times as many as I’ve reviewed and I’ve only told my lovely VBR readers about the best of the best. The one I’m about to tell you about tops all thee that have come before. It’s excellent.

North Coast Organics is a fantastic company. All of their products are vegan, organic, and handmade. Their Death by Lavender, AKA “Elite Assassin of Odor,” is not only super sassy with really cute and quirky designs, it smells like a dream, goes on dry, and keeps me naturally fresh all day. When I woke up the next day I still smelled like the fresh lavender scent (please keep in mind that your girl is the smelliest of the smelliest and it takes a lot to ward off my BO). I am beyond impressed.

Their deodorants are aluminum, paraben, and BPA-free. It contains minimal ingredients and all of them are safe and non-toxic. Also, it’s super affordable at $7.50.

I also got to sample both of their wonderful lip balms—and these bad boys came in due time. I have been suffering from gross chapped, dry, crusty lips (damn you, winter!), and both of these balms were very refreshing. My favorite was the LSQ Minty Organic Lip Balm. It not only soothed my poor, broken lips, it left them tingly from the peppermint oils and they smelled muy delicioso.

Want to try out this amazing deodorant for yourself? Well, you’re in luck! North Coast Organics is going to send two lucky winners the deodorant of their choice!

To enter to win “Death by Lavender” or “Revolver” by North Coast Organics, simply “like” North Coast Organics on Facebook and comment below sharing your personal struggle of finding the perfect vegan deodorant. All entrants must be residents of the US to enter to win. Two winners will be chosen at random and notified on January 24th, 2013! Good luck! xx

OMG do I need to win this. I’m vegan and all the natural store brands I’ve tried either irritate my pits or don’t work. I even tried making my own at home and it left grease marks all over my clothing. Please help me, I need something that works well!
    Thanks for the awesome contest!

I’ve been making my deodorant because I was not happy with the deodorants I Saw on the market. Unfortunately, it always melts and never comes out the way I want. North Coast deodorant is everything I want, organic, natural and doesn’t melt! Can’t wait to try it!

all I use is Mitchim because it’s the only one I can get for dirt cheap and every time I have money I always get food but I hate that it’s a drying gel because sometimes I don’t have time and it stays wet and sticky./:

My biggest struggle is being new to these type of products and finding them available in my area. It is also hard to know which ones work great.

This sounds amazing. Tom’s is okay. I found something on Etsy that worked great, but eventually gained a rash from it. I’ve temporarily gone back to Speed stick and do not want that as my permanent solution! (Liked on FB. ;) ) Looking forward to giving this a go!

Yay, another vegan deodorant to try out! I will sympathize with smelling bad–I’ve had to wear deodorant since I was in kindergarten (4/5 years old, so that’s 21-22 years of wearing this junk). I decided about a year or so ago to cut out the caustic deodorants I was using, and I tried the Crystal but it just doesn’t work. I’ve had a tough go finding a deodorant that keeps me smelling nice and doesn’t cause some kind of caustic reaction to my skin (not fun, not fun at all, lemme tell ya). I have to work up-close with folks at times and don’t want to frighten them with my smellies! I actually just bought some Meow Meow Tweet deodorant, but I prefer something I can have in stick-form and slide on with ease (I’ve never had to use my fingers to apply before, so that’ll be interesting with the MMT deo). I’ll have to give this company a try, as well.

I’ve tried at least 5 and I haven’t found THE one yet. :(

Thanks for the give away I found you looking for cruelty free nail polish
My goal is to buy only cruelty free, It is working pretty good now But want to go 100 precent it is gonna be hard to find deo, toothpaste, shampoo
Im using Almay deo that is cruelty free and goes perfect with my sensitive skin

I would love to try this deo. I have been searching for something natural that actually works well – even through a sweaty yoga practice. I’ve liked them on FB. Maybe they are the magicians that make a vegan deodorant that actually works?

  • Christine

I liked North Coast Organics on Facebook! I recently purchased on Etsy from Soap Walla a natural deodorant that I like so far! Of course I’m willing to try others.

  • Hanna

I’m still searching for the perfect one, but I’m excited to be trying out some new products. :)

  • Lauren

Liked on facebook. I honestly have not found one vegan deo that prevents sweating and would be thrilled at the chance to use this.

    • Christy

      Hey Lauren!

Remember that a deodorant isn’t supposed to prevent sweating–sweating is a natural occurrence. You’re supposed to sweat!

It’s typically the aluminum in antiperspirants that prevent sweating. Aluminum is also a deadly toxin that can cause cancer and other health issues.

Some natural deodorants have ingredients like baking soda or sea salt that helps prevent wetness. I have found that the North Coast Organics deodorant keeps me pretty dry and most importantly smelling fresh!

      Good luck in the giveaway!

I don’t have Facebook- can I still enter? I make my own deodorant that works pretty well, but sometimes I’d just like the convenience of a roll-on that I don’t have to make myself, so I’d love to try this.

  • Vivian

For my hubby cause I hate spray deodorant chemicals in the air… I want him using something more natural. I liked North Coast on fb.

  • Phoenix

I’d love to find a good vegan deodourant. The ones I’ve tried simply haven’t been very effective, & this brand sounds great.

  • ah I’m so glad I found your blog!! I liked the facebook page. I’m trying to use more organic and vegan products as a vegetarian who is converting to veganism :) so this deodorant looks great! I didn’t even realize my deodorant wasn’t vegan!

  • Jennifer

I currently use Bubble and Bee Pit Putty. It’s the best natural, vegan deodorant I’ve used, but I’d love to try something new.

  • Julie

Oh and I liked them on facebook :)

  • Julie

Most of vegan deodorants I’ve tried either irritate my sensitive skin or don’t work well. Not to mention many of them have way more ingredients than I’m comfortable with. I would really like to try Revolver. It sounds perfect!

  • I am going to look for this one! I have tried so many of them and they were not as good as I’d hoped! Maybe I will be lucky this time! Fingers Cross!!!

  • Ginger G.

I liked them on facebook! The only natural deo I’ve tried so far is Soapwalla, and I like it!

  • Stephanie G

I have tried everything there is. I like Tom’s…but I have to re-apply. I would LOVE to try this. I LOVE your quotes on the side :)

  • bitt

I have struggled to find merging that works. I figured bei g stinky would just be part of life for me. I am eager to try this one.

  • Let’s just say I used one that did not work well for a while simply because I didn’t want to “throw my money away”. I’m sorry fellow gym goers… I now use Tom’s but really want to branch out! I liked North Coast on Facebook.

  • This looks great, thanks for the giveaway! I liked North Coast on FB. I’ve been using unscented Tom’s of Maine for years and would love to try this organic deodorant.
