DIY Toothpaste

March 28, 2012By 5 Comments

When it comes to stuff that you put in your mouth (that can easily be ingested), you definitely want to steer clear of funky chemicals and unpronounceable ingredients like Tripotassium citrate monohydrate and Sodium Monofluorophosphate, Sodium Lauryl Sulphate, Polyethylene Glycol 1500 (PEG 1500), Sodium Carboxymethylcellulose, Titanium dioxide, Sodium saccharin, Trisodium phosphate, etc… na mean?

Yep, this nasty, nasty shit is in most conventional toothpastes. Bummer, huh? Well, take control of your health and get your pearly whites lookin’ their pearliest by makin’ your own simple and cheap DIY toothpaste. You’ll never wann go back!

This turned out fabulously! However, I did alter it a bit to my own personal liking. I used all of the ingredients mentioned above, except for the coconut oil. Instead I added a tablespoon of bentonite clay and then added water until I got my desired consistency. I’m sure if I would have used the coconut oil it would have turned out fine, though. Thanks, Sunny!

I have a question. I have a big jar of Stevia powder, almost 50gr. Which gr or quantity i need for the tooth paste? Thanks!

Quick question, if you wouldn’t mind: Would this toothpaste still protect teeth against gingivitis, cavities, and the like?

Thanks. Also, I love your blog! :]
