I’m pretty kookoo whackadoo over vegan shoes! I love ‘em all—sexy heels, clunky clogs, cowgirl boots, sandals, slippers… if the shoes are cruelty-free and look like they’ll beautifully house my delicate toesies, I WANT!
Intro Colourful Grass eco vegan shoes for women and men. I first heard of this company when they were featured on VeganCuts.com (Groupon-esque coupon site for vegans—WOOT!) I made it a mission to get my hands on a pair STAT. What especially struck me about these shoes is that they’re all uniquely cute (with kind of an indie vibe), cozy-lookin’ and eco-friendly (made with recycled materials).
So my eyes were drawn to the forest green Alice Oak shoesies ($75). They’re hand stitched with hemp canvas & have a recyclable strap styled with a coconut shell button (← ♥ it!). I had a Cinderella moment when I slipped these babies on. Not only did they feel amazing (with nice cushy padding inside), but I could tell I’d be able to rock these with a slew of outfits. Check out the cuteness for yourself!

My two cents on these shoes:
I wear a 7.5 and bought the 8 in two shoes. I bought the Rachel and the Alice. The Alice are a bit big – pretty much true to size in that they are an 8 and I wear a 7.5. The Rachel though – were WAY too big! they bordered on a size 9 than an 8. My 7.5 feet are swimming in the shoes.
I contacted the company to exchange the shoes for a 7. they said they would but I had to pay shipping both ways. I don’t think that is fair as the shoes are grossly mis-sized and trying to find ANY size data on their site is impossible.
I have since contacted the company twice and now am not getting any replies at all.
Side note – the Alice shoes are super cute…however, I disagree that they are durable – at all. the buttons on the side are already coming off and the shoes are so delicate I barely wear them :+(.
I have a decent vegan shoe collection building up and these, sadly, are not that good (even if they are cute) and the fact that they don’t have proper sizing or very good customer service – I would NOT recommend them.
I agree! My feet sweat horribly in these shoes and I never have a problem with that. They don’t breathe at all. I tried to return them and they wouldn’t take them back. Also they are not durable, they are already falling apart after wearing them 3 times. They are sized incorrectly as well.
How is sizing? I’m a true 7.5 and I see they are only whole sizes. Should I size up or down?
I’m a 7.5 as well. Definitely size up.
Sunny, which kind of shoe did you buy? Some reviews said to go a size down. Thanks!
I got the Alice Oak ones.
These are on sale at Vegan Cuts again for anyone interested.

So glad you got a pair! They tried to deliver mine while I was at the conference. Can’t wait to get ‘em on my feet
And thanks for the intro to these two ladies above!!
Oo, which pair did you order? It was so hard choosing a pair–they are all ridiculously CUTE!
Those are too cute; so mad at myself for missing these on Vegan Cuts!
Those are some seriously adorable shoes! Also, thank you for introducing me to Vegan Cuts! I’m mad at myself for not knowing about that website before!
