DIY Vanilla Mint Lip Scrub

January 26, 2011By 0 Comments

I love me some chilly willy weather, but one thing I don’t dig is dry, chapped, crusty lips (feels nasty and makes smooth lipstick application impossible). Plus, who wants to make out with a crustatious beast? Exactly.

You could splurge and treat yourself to a store-bought lip scrub or you could save yourself some chaddah and have the satisfaction of DIYing it up.

What you’ll need:

  • 2 tsp of brown sugar
  • 1 tsp of jojoba oil (you can add more if you like it a lil’ slimier)
  • 1/4 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 2 drops of peppermint oil (for tinglies)

Mix all of your ingredients together in a bowl. Then use a finger or toothbrush to apply the recipe and gently scrub in a circular motion for 10 seconds. Rinse your lips with warm water and pat dry. Lube it up with your favorite vegan lip balm. Store the leftover scrub in a small jar for late-ah. Enjoy!
