Let’s Get Lip Tarded in Here!

December 27, 2010By 2 Comments

If you haven’t tried OCC’s Lip Tar, get ready for a lipstick revolution! First of all, lemme just say that OCC is 100% vegan and cruelty-free. Now that we’ve established OCC’s ethical awesomeness, let’s move on to the juicy deets.

Lip Tar is unique in that it wears like a lipstick, goes on like a gloss and has the stamina of a lip stain (your lipstick won’t budge after a cup of coffee or even an entire meal).

While most conventional lipsticks contain chemicals, parabens, and *dramatic pause* crushed bugs (gag, puke, barf), Lip Tar only contains Hemp Oil, Peppermint Oil (adds a nice refreshing, tingly factor), Vitamin E, and pigments.

Each tube of Lip Tar is only $12.50, and the reason I say only is because the formula is so richly pigmented that a tennsy tiny bit goes a ridiculously long way. Seriously, one tube of Lip Tar could last you for years!

Recap of Why Lip Tar is the Shit :

  • It’s vegan and cruelty-free
  • It’s affordable
  • It’s highly pigmented
  • There are lots of fun colors to choose from (in both primary and scondary colors—great for mixing and creating unique shades)
  • Lip Tar is lightweight and super easy to apply

My 3 fave shades: Harlot, Anime and Pageant

Btw, OCC also carries airbrush supplies & kits; vegan makeup brushes; and fabulous, richly pigmented eye shades and nail polishes. :)

I’ve been looking for some good lipstick! Does Lip Tar stay on even if you eat (messily)? I always have problems with lipstick wearing off by the end of dinner.

I think it’s hilarious (& gross) how some ladies are disgusted by insects, & wouldn’t dream of touching them, yet those same gals happily smear the poor buggies’ guts all over their own faces >.<

Hi J! Yes, Lip Tar should last you through a messy meal. ;) It pretty much stains your lips, but you might want to apply some gloss afterwards.

It’s SO gross that crushed bugs are in everything from food to cosmetics… I wish more people were aware of this. I would hope they’d be just as disgusted as we are. Icky-icky!
