DIY Cruelty-Free Banana Face Mask

I ♥ bananas.  I use them in everything—smoothies, cereals, peanut butter sankies, oatmeal … and now I’ve found a way to incorporate them into my beauty routine!

Did you know: Bananas are rich in potassium, Vitamin A, B, C and E, and natural oils. Bananas contain tryptophan, a rich amino acid that works wonders for your skin (and hair).

Banana Mask Recipe (which happens to be great for acne-prone skin)

What you’ll need:

  • 1 banana
  • 1 tablespoon agave (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice

Mash the banana and combine it with the agave (optional) and lemon juice until it’s creamy.  Spread all over face and leave for 15-20 minutes before rinsing off.
