DIY Vegan Deodorant

Tired of searching for pure, chemical-free deodorant that doesn’t cost a fortune? Yeah, me too! Here’s a mega simple DIY deodorant recipe calling for ingredients that you probably already have at home!

What you’ll need:

  • 1/4 cup baking soda
  • 1/4 cup corn starch
  • 5 tablespoons of coconut oil
  • A few drops of essential oil (I recommend lavender)
  • An empty container or jar

Mix your dry ingredients together. Then add in the coconut oil and essential oil. Mix everything until it becomes a nice pasty paste. Scoop it up into your empty container or jar, and badda bing, badda boom! Vegan, cruelty-free and aluminum-free deodorant! Yahooooooo! Enjoy!

Hi Sunny, I made this with just the baking soda, cornstarch, and coconut oil. I think it turned out ok, it’s a little crumbly though. Otherwise it keeps me fresh! I stored it in a glass jar — Do I need to refrigerate it?

you can use cocoa butter or Shea butter. but you would half too melt it first.

just want to let anyone out there who’s interested in how this works that i made it and it works great! and i totally put it to the test–pilates class, 5.5 mile bike ridein the heat, AND physical labor chipping up tile adhesive but i still smelled fresh!
