There’s a new ice cream parlor in town, folks! KindKreme (formerly Nice Cream), located in Studio City, CA, serves organic, raw, and mostly vegan (3 of their ice cream flavors contain honey) ice cream. They also have smoothies, shakes, juices, raw desserts and soft serve!
I made my hubs take me there a couple weekends ago to to get my “sugar” fix. The genius part about their ice cream is that it doesn’t contain sugar (they use agave)… so it’s actually a healthy sweet treat. What’s even more genius is that it doesn’t taste healthy.
I ordered a banana split with coffee and chai ice cream and caramel sauce! Raw caramel sauce, people! It was beyond mega delish.

Banana Split, $9.99
Make sure to sample all the yummy favors…

Yummy Raw Ice Cream, $3.99 per scoop
If you haven’t been to KindKreme yet, you should go right now!

Can’t wait to try their cookie sandwich also
unfortunately i was not so impressed. TEN DOLLARS for a banana split? id rather go to whole foods get a WHOLE PINT of amazing vegan ice cream and put it over my own organic banana for much much less. when i went i enjoyed the flavors but honestly, a little tablespoon scoop for five dollars… they are nuts! again, you could get a whole PINT for the same price at whole foods of any amazing vegan ice cream company.
also, the worst part is the owner was there when i came in and her customer service was horrible. she kept telling me things were “company policy” when i asked to have half and half of the soft serve etc… she’s the OWNER tryign to start a new company, she should be trying to build repeat customers… big let down.
unfortunately, this is no Lula’s sweet apothecary and i will just have to wait to get teh vegan ice cream experience when i go back to manhattan… but for now i always have scoops in silverlake, which is amazing and far from a rip off!
Hi Shirley,
Yeah, their ice cream is pretty expensive, but raw stuff usually costs more (unfortunately). You’re not the first person to tell me about their lack of customer service. That’s a big bummer.
Customer service is everything, especially when you’re a new business. Thank you for your honest feedback.
I went a couple weekends ago and had a scoop of the Superfoods ice cream. It was fantastic! I sampled a few other flavors, too. Next time, I will definitely be trying the soft serve.
You and me both! I don’t even understand how they make raw soft serve… so exciting!
I’ve never heard of raw ice cream…
awwww i wanna try the banana split so bad. they also have a cookie sandwich that sounds really delicious.
Yeah, I saw the cookie sandwich on their menu! I can’t wait to try that, too!
That banana split looks amazing. Now that I’m back from Europe, I finally get to try this place!!!
Welcome back home! When you do go, ask for extra caramel sauce – SO good!!!
