Neuma: Quenching Your Thirsty Hair

June 21, 2010By 0 Comments

neumaSometime I feel like a broken record when I go on and on about how nasty and dry my hair is. My hair is in a constant state of crustitude and dude, it bums me out. It’s always a treat when I discover serious, no-bullshit, vegan brands of shampoo that actually make my hair feel deliciously soft and manageable (which is a tall order).

I was recently sent some samples of Neuma, a sulfate-free, sustainable, vegan line of haircare and I was excited to finally try some fancy, salon-quality shampoo and conditioner.  I fell in love with their “moisture” hair care line (for dry and damaged hair – like mine)!  It was concentrated, thick and nourishing and it smelled like lemon frosted cupcakes. My only complaint (which isn’t really legit) was that their samples were of sample size. Mama wanted more! 😉

Neuma is offered in spas and fine salons around the country.  (I know, I’m bummed we can’t buy these at Target, too). For a list of these locations, check their website for updates. Their website isn’t fully complete (although it’s very pretty and relaxing – with chirping birdies, even), so some of their menu selections are “coming soon.” I will keep you all posted if I hear any news.

Bottom line: Neuma is the shit! If you get the opportunity to try this hair care line (which is available in Moisture, Volume, Styling, Renew and Repair), you’ll be stoked – take my word on this.
